The Sicilian O'Kelly Variation is a chess opening that arises from the Sicilian Defence, which is one of the most popular and best-scoring responses to 1.e4. The O'Kelly Variation specifically begins with the moves:

This variation is named after the Belgian chess master Albéric O'Kelly de Galway. It's also known as the Sicilian Maróczy Bind O'Kelly Variation because it often transposes into the Maróczy Bind structure.

Why you should play the Sicilian O'Kelly Variation:
