I play chess for the enjoyment of the game. While I like to win...it isn't everything. Making a good friend and cordial conversation rank above winning (for me.) While it is fun to see a rating increase, it is not that important to me. Win or lose, it is the fun of the game that keeps me coming back.
I own my own business and work out of my home so I typically can check the website and move multiple times a day. Don't let me rush you.
