But the net points is the default setting.
That's all that matters.

You make a ass of yourself with every chess move.

Great fair system in fact RHP should get some sort of award for the clan system it's so good.
Only criticism I have there is no coding available to stop idiots moaning about it but have no idea what would be better.

I know I cannot play chess I just try to make fun of those who do

It is quite obvious what I think is better
1 Point for every game won plus a bonus if the challenge is won
But NO,NO,NO,,deductions of any kind

At last an idea
Only took you 200 posts.
Sounds good that would make every game count.
So 3 man challenge winning 4 to 2
Winners get 10 points losers get 2 points is that what you mean? Drawn games get 0 points

I proposed this ages ago but unlike now you Poo pooed it
Drawn games would be half each with no bonus points

That's not a new idea though.
That's just returning to the gross points system that only favours the clan that plays the most games.
Net system has made the challenge much closer look at this year's table for proof.
I am against awarding points for the clan that loses a challenge
Makes no sense to reward failure in any game.

Wow Mr Jeckell and Mr Hyde
I think I prefer Mr Jeckell he at least had a bit of sympathy for what I was trying to do
Would you please put Mr Hyde back in the bottle and have proper discussion about this

I thought you had a new idea but on second reading it's just back to the gross points system we had years ago. Which got voted out in preference to the much fairer net points system.
Only thing I would suggest is the difference in games won or lost
3 man challenge just now it's plus 6 or minus 6.
Changed it to a 6 to 0 would be the same but a 4 to 2 win would be the difference 2 points to the winner minus 2 to the loser.
That would make every game count.
Some players are in favour of the elo system not me.

No not the elo
Take the following
5 man challenge
10 - 0 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 20 loser 0
9 - 1 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 18 loser 1
8 - 2 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 16 loser 2
7 - 3 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 14 loser 3
6 - 4 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 12 loser 4
5 - 5 old system 5 each my system no change
Is that so bad ?

this tells me that they play out everygame
other than that
page one looks pretty much the same

edit: Spinning Stars lost a lot of close matches
a bit of bad luck
the major problem with net poin ...[text shortened]... is that a single game could have so much sway in a match
all games should carry the same value
So .....
A clan that loses twice as many challenges as it wins should be in the top 10 in the standings ?

Uh, ok. 🙄

Well
If everyone else is too lazy to take on games why shouldn't they ?
At least they are trying to play the game

The main problem I see in your thinking using the 10 v 10 example
You say 6 to 4
Winner gets 12 loser gets 4?
Sorry but that does not add up.
There is 20 games involved say the score is 11 5 with four draws
How would the points be awarded?
