Ooh, looking forward to hearing it.

Have you heard the Easy Star All Stars version? It's called Dub Side of the Moon and is awesome. Worth the $8 for the mp3 version, for sure:

There is also Luther Wright and the Wrongs that do a country/bluegrass version of The Wall. Interesting for about one listen...

Along with the Lips I think Air is the only other band that might be able to pull it off. Although I saw Les Claypools Frog Brigade cover the entire Floyd album, Animals for their second set a few years back. It is availiable on a live CD. And I know people have strong feelings for and against Les but he did the set pretty true to Floyd. No over the top slap bass, let other members sing some of the songs he could not pull off.

I recommend Rita Marcotulli - Omaggio ai Pink Floyd (2008) to those interested in a fully realized and stand alone delving into Pink Floyd by a jazz ensemble.

i'm into DSOTM, and i'm into dub, but i just couldn't get into this when i listened to it a few years back. i dunno, maybe i should give it another chance.

Dread Zep are crap and nowhere near as good as the ESA. Please give this another go.
