@no1marauder saidThey are not American so they don't get to enjoy American laws.
Misdemeanor violations cannot draw $1 million fines.
We can do whatever we want to them.

@contenchess saidThat might be what ignorant right wingers think but that is not the law.

@no1marauder saidNo argument.....it is the law. But Note that one judge dissented in the spring-gun case, so let us not get too caught up in 'the law.
I've explained multiple times but you are obviously too thick to understand rather clear principles of law. Why should I waste further time repeating the same thing?
The government violated the rights of these people in an illegal manner.
They suffered damages.
Therefore, they should be compensated.
What else is there to say?
Thing is, this is a forum for the exchange of ideas, and I have only asked you if you think that it makes one bit of sense for us to pay people who walked into law breaking voluntarily, KNOWING that the children would be separated. In other words, hey asked for it.....to be separated.
Given all this, should we give a family maybe $900K? After they had broken the law Knowing the consequences?? How about others, coming in, altho I dont'want to open any other questions.
Seems like I am the one who is repeating the same thing..... the question was presented at the outset.
As the warden said in Shawshank, why be obtuse?

Yes, it makes a lot of sense to compensate people who's rights have been violated by illegal government action.
@no1marauder saidYou are so full of crap. The school of Suzianne. Never figured you for a group guy. A lib is a lib is a lib and you would not ever think to think for your self. I know that you do not believe what you are saying, but you are going the lib narrative. Creds out the window.

Let's see, who else. Phranny, maybe. I like MB,, he seems to be a free-thinker. I see why you do links now, Lends a good sense security....its the law!, I love that one. Great patter, just read and repeat other folks' stuff. ZZZzzzzzzzzzz
@averagejoe1 saidOf course I believe it, you moron.

Trump shouldn't have put into place an obviously illegal practice just to keep idiots like you happy. Unfortunately, we're all going to have to pay for his malpractice but that's the way it is; when the government violates people's basic rights they must be compensated.
@no1marauder saidYour hole deepens. You parrot the day away, without saying, as if we are sitting at a lunch table, how ludicrous this plan is. I am quite aware of the misdirection of Trump's policy, but libs just can't bring it to themselves to step back and say,,'what in the hell,, $450K.." Could you just say the obvious, give them $10,000, traveling expenses, and tell them to go home, as they do not qualify for asylum, they don't meet the requirements. I guess that that response is not enough bleeding-heart for a liberal, you have to pull out all the stops. Charge AverageJoe's front door and make him take them in. That is the mindset of Marauders and Suzies of the world.
Of course I believe it, you moron.

Sorry to go off on you last night, had my reasons. Too bad your posts lack common sense, and definitely lack levity, difficult to wade through conversations when a jouster has no original thought or rationale about a subject.......nothing deep about the thought, don't you know.
For instance, I would answer by saying this country has a border, and no matter the issue at hand, it is being crashed. Trump had it under control, maybe a few separation miscues, seemed logical at the time, but 1M people a year would be fine. Not only is Biden incompetent , but he wants many more millions.
Tell us, how many millions is a good number? And, I do not believe that a normal person would say the $450K payment to illegal aliens is a good (what a laugh) idea.

@AverageJoe1
This is about reparations for one of the most despicable dark times in US history and OF COURSE to a white nationalist like you those folks are sub human and should be put in front of a firing squad instead of allowing them in the US as tax paying citizens.

@no1marauder saidThey didn't ask for it?????? So if I see a cop at the sidewalk, and I jaywalk across the street, I would think that I am 'asking for' a ticket.
They didn't "ask for it".
Yes, it makes a lot of sense to compensate people who's rights have been violated by illegal government action.
Are you for real? So the jaywalker asks for it, but the lawbreaking immigrant is not asking for it? Lib insanity. Go for it.
Like I said, the hole gets deeper. No way out!!!!!

@averagejoe1 saidNo one "asks for" someone else to break the law to their detriment. A more reasonable hypothetical would be:

Guy A jaywalks.
Cop B shoots and kills him for jaywalking.
Did Guy A "ask for it"?

@no1marauder saidThis is sad, Marauder. Read what you just wrote. Did you just say the cop shoots him? Doesn't ticket him? Marauder .... are you OK?

To help you through para one, above ( I assume that you are not the 1st grader Handy Andy of old?), where did I say that "Someone ASKS the someone else to break the law.""????? Is that a factor in this scenario??? It certainly is not. Geez. The hole is yet deeper
The guy walks to the border, and knows the law (this is stipulated). He breaks it voluntarily.. NO one tells him to. He gets seperated. Biden says it is my fault...Pay the Man!!!! Biden....a lib, perhaps? You proud are you? I love to hear him 'speak'. Hahahaha. A regular Ronald Reagan. I give him 6 more months.
Anyway, back to your asinine changing of the premise of the guy who jaywalks, gets a ticket,... he had it coming. Boy you are right, he did not know he would be shot...could not have anticipated it. NOW do you get the picture ?
@averagejoe1 saidJoe, let's face it; you're stupid.

What the Trump administration did in response to what someone crossing the border did is illegal just like shooting someone for jaywalking would be.
@no1marauder saidYou are the king of extrapolation. Why don't you make your newly-thought-up-getting-shot-for-jaywalking, wherever that came from, more interesting by saying that the cop shot and killed a 6-year old who was technically jaywalking.? Or are there different factors in play? You could start another thread on it. Geez o Petey.
Joe, let's face it; you're stupid.
What the Trump administration did in response to what someone crossing the border did is illegal just like shooting someone for jaywalking would be.
So, here you say that the cop, to avoid an illegal shooting, should allow a jaywalker to violate the law. You are saying it would be illegal if cop enforces a law. That is what you are saying. Would it be illegal if he enforced a law that says you cannot drive 100mph down Main Street?
You have dug a hole so deep that we will have to throw you a flashlight, maybe a canary in a cage.

@contenchess saidSomebody paid to get these people to the border.
I don't care about South Americans but paying them huge sums of money is ridiculous and I don't see it happening.
What about the families that were separated under Obama?...Bush?...
How far back will it go if you agree to these payouts?
Any ideas who ?
Which right wing group ?
