The World Health Organization this week published a report saying one in three women globally, around 736 million, had been subjected to physical or sexual violence in their lifetimes.

I presume they mean 1 in 3 adult women.
For otherwise the global population would be under 5 billion.
Besides that, it is a truly staggering statistic.

Interesting article. It suggests some things men can do to make women feel safer on the street.

I wonder how many men here, when walking down the street and there’s a lone female in front of them, will fall back, cross the road or something, just to be less threatening.
