Haven't heard about any homeless in Seattle and Portland freezing to death, they do have winter programs or whatever for the indigent.

Think for a moment before you speak. You're acting like people will abandon their homes so they can live in tents.

Tents will not create "even more" homeless people. The number of homeless people won't change because of tents.

It’s winter earl the tents are an effort to stop people dying on the streets of Portland.

But they are handing them willy nilly to anybody and everybody. How 'bout a bit of common sense and rationale, avoid the losers, and give tents, and lessons on how to fish, to the needy.
Do y'all think everyone outside is homeless? How do you differentiate ?

I think JJ is applying the rationale of even another proverb,.. When 49% of citizens support 51% of the citizens, there will despair or whatever you want to call it. Kinda what Biden is cooking up now.
