And that’s exactly what rocks JJs boat. Counterintuitively he sleeps better knowing that there are people freezing to death on the street below.
Haven't heard about any homeless in Seattle and Portland freezing to death, they do have winter programs or whatever for the indigent.
I'm not saying there weren't any, but I don't think it's a massive problem as you claim.

Right.
So, the homeless living on the sidewalk move into a free tent, which leaves room for even more homeless to move in and live on the sidewalk.
Eventually the tent/sidewalk people will outnumber the productive citizens that support them..
Think for a moment before you speak. You're acting like people will abandon their homes so they can live in tents.

Tents will not create "even more" homeless people. The number of homeless people won't change because of tents.

That’s because your news sources don’t report on it.

How can you say outrageous stuff like this, not knowing the facow people who can't be bothered to help these, the neediest of the needy, then turn around and claim some stupid stuff like the people trying to help are just making it worse. This is some blatantly ignorant BS. I don't see you out there giving your own time and money and sweat and tears to help these people. Try to remember that they are still people.
How do you weigh in on the Proverb, give a man a fish, he can eat all day.... Teach him to fish, he can eat for the rest of his life? Do libs truly discount such logic and rationale?...

Yeh they’ll probably move there from wherever you and AJ live
Or do you think people managing to keep a roof over their heads are going to say to themselves ‘sod this I could be living in a tent in Portland’
It’s winter earl the tents are an effort to stop people dying on the streets of Portland.
But they are handing them willy nilly to anybody and everybody. How 'bout a bit of common sense and rationale, avoid the losers, and give tents, and lessons on how to fish, to the needy.
Do y'all think everyone outside is homeless? How do you differentiate ?

I think JJ is applying the rationale of even another proverb,.. When 49% of citizens support 51% of the citizens, there will despair or whatever you want to call it. Kinda what Biden is cooking up now. Not him personlly of course, Any reference to him on the Forum (with the exception of his personal dark turmoil) is really referencing Geo Soros, Susan Rice, Obama, et al.
