@jj-adams saidNixon didn't do dick as the US scrambled to get all our personnel out of Saigon as the Viet Cong swarmed the city.
Nixon got us OUT of Vietnam.
Napalm, Agent Orange, and carpet bombing were going on long before he was president.
You people really do live in some kind of dream world.
For years we had to negotiate to get our POWs out.
@suzianne saidWe got our POW's back in February 73.
Nixon didn't do dick as the US scrambled to get all our personnel out of Saigon as the Viet Cong swarmed the city.
For years we had to negotiate to get our POWs out.
Nixon was not the president in the 1975 fall of Saigon.
You really do live in some kind of dream world where you just make up facts to suit your argument.
@suzianne saidMy election motto was;
Nixon didn't do dick as the US scrambled to get all our personnel out of Saigon as the Viet Cong swarmed the city.
For years we had to negotiate to get our POWs out.
''Don't change Dick's in the middle
of a screw, vote Nixon in '72.''

@capacrapa saidWho committed America to its longest and most futile war? Republican. Who negotiated a hasty and, for the Afghan people disastrous, retreat from that war? Republican.
Who killed Lincoln?...a Democrat!
Who killed JFK?...a Democrat!
Who killed MLK?...a Democrat!
Who lynched blacks?...the Democrats!
Who owned slaves?...the Democrats!
Who created Jim Crow?...the Democrats!
Segregation?...the Democrats!
Who created the KKK?...the Democrats!
Japanese camps during WW2?...the Democrats!
The Confederacy?...the Democrats!
Who got scammed by BLM?...the Democrats!
I wonder if I'm missing something? π€

@capacrapa saidIn 1970 my poli-sci professor (a black man), posited the loaded question "Who is more liberal than a New York Republican? Who is more conservative than a Southern Democrat?"
@moonbus
The list, which is from the internet, was about how the Democrats call everyone racist while avoiding their horrible past of racism.
...here comes someone saying the parties switched π
Edit:
Did I use the word "posited" correctly?
Cause it's the first time in my seven decades on Earth that I have ever used the word. I think it sounds like a really cool word.

@CapaCrapa
Funny how you are SO interested in PAST problems with racism. How about addressing TODAY'S issues? but of course you will not do that will you?
Like how the zombie repubs don't sign ANYTHING into law started by dems BECAUSE THEY VALUE POWER OVER governing, you know, that part that holds folks accountable for breaking laws no matter who they are.
Right now folks like Laudermilk has gotten away with being an ABSOLUTE traitor by conducting reconnaissance tours of the capitol building and NOTHING is done about that.

@jimm619 saidThat's true, and JFK was committed to pulling out troops in 2 years when he was taken out. that report was to go to congress in the new year, just 2-3 months after the assassination (So says McNamarra)
Republican...
Eisenhower committed us to Vietnam.
Now, who was responsible for Korea? I think it may also have been Eisenhower but not sure.
25 May 22
@suzianne saidNo, he did no such thing as "conveniently forgot". LBJ did more than anyone to fuel the VietNam war. PERIOD
You conveniently forgot Nixon and his Agent Orange and his napalm and his carpet bombing, even though that was too little too late. The US had to leave in defeat in 1975.
The Napalm, the Agent Orange, which killed a neighbor/classmate of mine, that was all done under LBJ.
My brother and another friend were both there at the same time. Trust me, it was all under LBJ,
And in case you did not know, Nixon ended the war

@earl-of-trumps saidBut it wasn't a commitment of any sort. Kennedy could have taken the couple dozen or so people out of Vietnam that IKE had posted there..
@JJ-Adams says -
Eisenhower sent a handful of advisors that were more observers than anything else.
------------------------
That is true but he still broke the ice.
Kennedy sent in a few thousand, then LBJ sent in half a million.
Eisenhower didn't get America committed. The dem presidents after him did.
@earl-of-trumps saidHarry Truman was president during Korea.
Now, who was responsible for Korea? I think it may also have been Eisenhower but not sure.
Democrap.

@capacrapa saidAnd everybody knows nobody on the internet ever lies.
The list, which is from the internet,
