Firstly I think I owe @Great-King-Rat an apology for stamping on him being so negative about the American politicised society after the election result. GKR sorry, I am now beginning to the think you were right.
I’ve been catching up on the violence in Washington DC and I do think that this is just the start. Trump has stirred up a poison well of division and is tweeting his way into the history books as the bringer of what will effectively be America’s next civil war.
It’s so disappointing, depressing even, to see democracy cast aside.

I didn't see any reports of serious injuries and only a few dozen arrests.
I stand by my characterization.
