Not me. No one is above the law. No one. If a crime is committed by Trump, or Biden, you look in the book for what TheFirstTV punishment is. I have always said that on the forum. So, you must be writing about someone else. Sonhouse will go off on a tangent,…..Would I vote for trump if he were in prison? Maybe. I need the facts. That is an example of how he goes ...[text shortened]... , and I have given you what my answer might be.
I try to close my posts. I wish y’all would.
When I read your posts, I read them out loud impersonating trump.

It’s a close match. So you do hand gestures when you speak as well?

If presidents have immunity forever for crimes committed while in office, then why did Ford pardon Nixon ?

@AvJoe said
Quite a dis-jointed question. Please rephrase. Note that immunity as you speak of is not yet set in stone, so there is no feasible answer.

Fact: Nixon committed crimes while in office.

Fact: Ford pardoned Nixon.

Think specifically : if Nixon had immunity from prosecution, then why would Ford pardon him?

Think generally : there is no need to pardon someone who cannot be prosecuted.

Obvious specific conclusion: Nixon had no immunity from prosecution for crimes committed while in office and was therefore prosecutable once he left office.

Obvious general conclusion: Lack of immunity was not specific to Nixon but applies to all government officials, which includes presidents.

Seriously, why he pardoned him is quite irrelevant, and he has the power to pardon, I assume we agree.
You then say that there was no 'need' to pardon him, I agree with that also. You could say that Ford wanted to get his image out of our lives, but that is his business. Of course, we are glad that he did it. When trump takes office, I hope, and expect, that he will pardon Biden. We agree up to that point, I am sure. It is Fact, except for my hoping Trump pardons him.

THEN you say that Nixon had no immunity. Neither civil nor criminal immunity is explicitly granted by the Constitution.
We can all agree with your Obvious General Conclusion.

So I do not see what seminal point you are raising.

Biden, gun charges? are you confusing Joe with Hunter? I was not talking about Hunter, if he is charged and convicted, he does the time.
But if Trump is convicted will you actually change your vote?

And I don’t see what you have to complain about. Just let the justice system do its job.

This is stupid on the face of it because Biden doesn't need immunity from imagined crimes.

Trump, on the other hand, at least according to himself, does need immunity for actual crimes.
Sue apparently does not anticipate a response, since she bases her premise on the word 'imagined'.
Unbelievable.

Sonhouse is deftly respoinding, pretending that he is confused that I have confused Hunter (the person with the gun) with Joe.
I meant Hunter. Who, if convicted, is by law required to be imprisoned.

And, if Trump is convicted of what his lawyer (Cohen) did, I will be behind him all the way as he becomes president in the end. Have you not watched the news? Hey did you see where Psaki wrote a book that says Biden did NOT look at his watch as the 13 soldiers were carried off the plane? You libs are brazen, I will give you that. You should google that one, and where Kamala used the F word in a speech yesterday. Times sure have changed since the sniveling libs have come to power. You will win in the end.
You are all just pitiful weenies.

Whew please rewrite without cute so I can respond. You are wasting ink if you do not acknowledge that I have always said if guilty of a crime, he or anyone must accept court decision of incarceration. Give it up, take that to someone else. SHouse would love to discuss ‘Trump in jail’. I talk the law.
Why are you off track about whether Joe or Don are immune from prosecution as I set out above? Immunity has yet to be decided.
Note that the issue of presidential immunity for federal crimes was not necessary to 'decide' until your reality tv star took over the white house.

The hush money election interference trial is coming to a close. All you have left now is for you to hope and pray for a hung jury. Deciding T is innocent is definitely not on the ticket. He will either be convicted by a unanimous vote or hung jury.
But of course for you it is all a witch hunt since you sincerely believe Trump is above the law and no amount of guilty verdicts or Trump put in jail will stop you from defending him and voting for him come November.

There is a third possibility, no guilty. Can you tell us what he will be 'not guilty' of? Maybe the jury will never know either, so it will have to be 'hung' as they scratch their heads.

I watched Kamala give that speech and she showed a lot of real passion in that speech. She meant every word of it, and it was a very effective speech. You'd have known that if you were a member of any class of people in this country who have suffered or who are now suffering oppression of any kind. But you can't feel it. You can't feel anything, because you're just like Trump. You don't give one goddamn about anything that doesn't affect you.
