The post that was quoted here has been removedDid you miss the last ten years where identity politics has dominated the US and a white mayor can easily be construed as a member of the self hating liberal elite.
But you digress again I’m not really so bothered about funds being targeted toward ‘poor people of colour’ communities. I’m saying that to exclude poor white people makes for a badly designed pilot scheme. And to exclude poor white people is red meat for right wing victimhood.
Such a decision could probably be justified in general by pointing out that poor people of colour are doubly disadvantaged because of racism.
Sometimes idiots take the helm, it’s nothing new and no reason to abandon objective observation.

If the city of Oakland had decided, unbiasedly, that anyone in the city earning less than $20K a year is qualified for this program, I'd say fine. But that's not what these racist bastids did, now, is it.
Think of the future, now, what democrats can get away with.
