I had this great argument back in the day with no1m about Hugo Chavez - I made more or less the same argument. Read his history:
- led an unsuccessful coup d'état
- was imprisoned
- pardoned from prison two years later
- was elected president of Venezuela in 1998, receiving 56.2% of the vote
- Only then did Chavez go full dictator: suppressing the press, manipulating electoral laws, police state, arresting and exiling government critics, choosing his successor.
Remind you of anyone?

How about empowering the IRS to investigate and audit more Americans than ever.?

I've read through the whole list, two or three times and I've felt NONE of it.
None. Nobody jamming up my hospitals. No police defunding. Inflation down. No IRS audit.
