Big Mac and Quarter Pounder=$14.00

No fries or drink, just two mediocre burgers that aren't even that big.
McDonald's is way overpriced.
My wife insisted on me getting them, so my hands were tied.
At Burger King I could have had 3 times the food for ten bucks, and it would have been better quality.

That too. But a Mexican grill place near us, we used to get GREAT burritos and such rather cheap but the last time I went they wanted 42 bucks for three burritos and a couple of taco's. I said no way Jose. Instead we went to *shudder* taco bell where we got basically the same meal for 17 bucks, still not like they used to be but less than half the price of the Mex Grill and OF COURSE their tacos are not even CLOSE to the real thing, we know that but when you are hungry any storm in the port will do🙂

What a waste. One could get a decent amount of quite good Indian take-out for $14. What does anyone see in that McDonald's or Burger King garbage?

Where was that? We got two chicken sandwiches and fries with no drinks and it was still 14 bucks, we had soda at the house.

Indeed, it was desperation🙂

For 14 dollars, here in the Netherlands, you’d get a large Big Mac McDonald’s meal with an extra quarter pounder as well.

However, you could alternatively get 2 durum doners (sort of kebab sandwiches), 2 large pizzas or 3 Surinam chicken curry rolls.
Obviously not at the Mc D’s.
