I am well aware of your personal situation, as you have conveyed it to me before. I empathize.

I do not believe I have "come crying to you about how tough my life is" nor "put myself on some higher moral plateau because of it". You are welcome to disagree with anything and everything I say. I have never made assertion to the contrary.

That said, it is obvious you are rather upset with something I have said. If you can correlate what I have actually said with your anger, I would be happy to discuss the matter with you. Alternatively, if you actually had a valid point towards something I have actually said in your outburst, please feel free to point it out to me. To the converse, if the entirety of your ire is based upon your assumptions in things I have not said, I will not be able to address the issues and do not have any interest in defending positions I did not take.

Let me refresh your memory. You said:

How are we to interpret this statement? According to you, only people who live as you have (and earn every meal they eat) have the right to disagree with you. It is strongly implied that people who have not lived as you have should just shut up, or that their opinions do not matter. You have most definitely implied (whether you intended to, or not) that your predicament places you on some higher moral plateau, especially with statements like: "Although I qualify for a vast number of government subsidized hand outs...I have never received anything of the sort", and how you announced that you don't "simply live off of the system."

I brought up my work history and present situation, not because I want you to empathize with me (far from it), but to compare and contrast our cases. We've both had our share of thankless toil. But where our cases differ (and this was my point) is that I collected unemployment for six months.

This is where your comments about "government subsidized handouts" and people who "live off the system" struck me in the wrong way. For those six months, I did not live like you and did not earn every meal I ate. But I'll be damned if I'll let you lord that over me and let you tell me that you have any more claim to moral perfection or more of a right to voice your opinion. Because you don't.

So, because of how I interpreted that post, and because your intial post in this thread was such an unadulterated pile of garbage, I wasn't too concerned about being diplomatic (not that I often am anyway).

This will be my last post in this thread. I have nothing more to say on the matter.
