That what you're supposed to do in a democracy, in case you haven't noticed. Their decision was perfectly consistent with 100 years of precedent in interpreting Florida election law. The only court that went beyond its settled principles and decisions was the US Supreme Court.

Tip Number One about how to survive the forums - don't argue with no1marauder about legal issues.
Why? Because he knows his stuff, that's why.
Seriously. I'm not from America, but I have legal training (especially in administrative and constitutional law issues) and pretty well every time anything legal comes up, his arguments are solid.
You ain't never going to win, and all you'll do his irritate him. Permanently.
Tip 1A: don't trot out the stupid line about how judges aren't supposed to write laws. They do. The only time people pretend this is a bad thing is when they don't like the outcome.
It's amazing how politicians (who ALSO have the job of writing laws, it's a shared thing) sit around and do nothing when they're happy with court decisions, but jump about like demented pogo sticks when the result goes against them.
