@no1marauder saidOf course anyone with knowledge should testify, unless they're worried about criminal prosecution themselves. I think the anonymous source might have been referring to Robert Engel (who already testified that Trump wanted to go to the Capitol). Liz Cheney asked several times yesterday if Robert Engel was present for the events that Cassidy Hutchinson described.
Put them on the stand then, don't rely on an "anonymous" source rather than a witness under oath.
Robert Engel probably needs to testify here, since MAGA world is all up in their panties about whether a "lunge" happened or not. I don't think he addressed that specific incident in his original testimony.
The base story is accurate, and I think even if the lunge was more of grunt then Robert Engel will say that the President wanted to be taken to the Capitol building with protesters to assume his throne, and the Secret Service prevented that from happening.
@wildgrass saidnice try...telling a lie a different way still doesnt make it true

"Dimitrelos said Trump physically could not have reached from the back seat of the SUV and taken control of its steering wheel.
"This is a problem with the way the vehicle is designed," Dimitrelos said, noting that he regularly performed security sweeps of the presidential SUV for bugs as well as physical, chemical, and biological threats, during his time with the Secret Service Technical Security Division.
"You're talking about an armored vehicle, which isn't a normal vehicle," he said. "This isn't designed the way an SUV is designed. It's not designed for someone in the back seat to take control of the steering wheel. It's just not."
The former Secret Service agent added that the Jan. 6 committee made no apparent effort to verify Hutchinson's account of the incident independently before running the allegation on national television."

@Mott-The-Hoople
I think this woman that spread the triple hand-me-down gossip about Trump wrestling away the wheel, etc, from people who weren't there and wouldn't know, is just looking for her 15 minutes of fame, and is hoping to jump-ship and become a darling of the Democrats, with a tell-all book deal, followed by CNN interviews and a place in libtard news media on down the road.
@jj-adams saidShe worked for Ted Cruz.

@wildgrass said"Fox News Said".
A faceless, nameless "source close to the Secret Service" is telling Fox that faceless nameless "agents" are willing to testify. This article contains no quotes, no names, and no details. If they're willing to testify, then why are they speaking off the record anonymously through another anonymous source?
When these agents give sworn testimony, then this is a debate question as to who is committing perjury. Until then, it seems like a stretch.

Why don't you guys ever use credible news sources?
@mott-the-hoople saidOveractive imaginations.
just explain all the people making decisions about election procedures that didnt have authority to do so.
Harvesting, drop boxes ect
That's where all the Republican Fairy Tales come from.
@mott-the-hoople saidThe testimony was he got mad and tried to grab the steering wheel; no one claimed he succeeded or took control of the vehicle.

So this is a Strawman.

@mott-the-hoople saidAlright let's not speculate. It's already on the record under penalty of perjury by secret service agents that he wanted to go to the Capitol. Let's talk to someone like Robert Engel who was there, or someone like this lady who is testifying under oath. Let's talk to someone who was there and denies this happened under penalty of perjury. Dimitrelos, on the other hand, is a cable news cybersecurity expert speaking in hypotheticals. Surely not as credible as sworn testimony.

@suzianne saidYeah, it's almost as if they fear the promise of the American Experiment might actually succeed, and we might end up in some Star Trek fantasy world where everyone is free to be themselves and to be accepted and respected just as they are, including white heterosexual guys with beards, dogs, and pickup trucks (and guitar skills, bbq skills, whatever).

By all measurable means: a complete and utter failure.
