@wildgrass saidIt’s a matter of opinion but I would say if your going to ban a book to make a point then yeah ban one nobody reads anyway.
Are kids really posting up with the unabridged bible for their independent reading time in elementary school?
I mean, I understand the idea that the bible has worse stuff in it than many books conservatives want to ban, but I dont think banning the bible from elementary school is the best way to make that point. No one reads it.
Personally I would ban all religious teaching in all public schools, schools are for teaching facts not faith. The home and place of worship are the settings for religion.

@kevcvs57 saidAgreed. The founding fathers had very good reasons for establishing a separation of church and state.

@earl-of-trumps saidIf no one read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer anymore, would it stop being an expository example of life on the Mississippi in the antebellum South?
They may be trying the observe equal protection. But I agree, no one reads it, which should make it all moot. Maybe?

@shavixmir saidI am with you on this one, I do not think books should be banned at all. That said, some reading material is not appropriate for third or fourth graders, however, it is very unlikely that they would take an interest in such things anyway. Banning books simply makes them more fascinating, not less likely to be read.
Nobody should be banning any bloody books.

Is that only true of books? RFK jr. was banned from Instagram and other big tech platforms. Does that make him more fascinating?

@sonhouse saidThe Mormons believe that there were not 12 tribes, but 13. The 13th tribe crossed the Atlantic, settled No. America in ancient times. They also believe that after Jesus was crucified, he did not go to the underworld for three days before appearing to his disciples in Judea; he went to America and preached his gospel there.
@Suzianne
Oh, didn't know that. What tribe? Another Mormon village or some such?
@moonbus saidYes, this is it in a nutshell.
