where is your proof concerning boys vs girls? I find it very telling none of the libs here provided any facts, just attacked the poster.
The post that was quoted here has been removedI didn't realise you were a plagiarist and I had not come across that quote before,
I still think it inappropriate in the context of domestic violence on men.
And ... Why would you think I object to feminist novels when I
(and most that read my posts) would consider myself a feminist?

The post that was quoted here has been removedI haven't seen the study into how many women know that quote ... I'm sorry
I didn't (I feel so ashamed). Of course I could use your friend Google to try
and come across as better read than I am, but that would be dishonest ...
like plagiarising someone's words without accreditation.
As for fantasies mine are bit more interesting and imaginative than that.
According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center:
>One in five women and one in 71 men will be raped at some point in their lives.
>In the U.S., one in three women and one in six men experienced some form of contact sexual violence in their lifetime.
>91% of victims of rape and sexual assault are female, and nine percent are male.

This debate thread is a prime example of why fundamentalism--the idea that it's impossible, or unethical, to make comparisons--is so frustrating. Nobody has argued that men are not victims of sexual assault.
Here you go Mott:
https://www.thehotline.org/resources/statistics/
Some stats for you.
30% of women are abused by their partners in the US.
10% of men are abused by their partners in the US.
15% of women have been physically injured by this violence.
4% of men.
So, as usual, you’re talking an amazing amount of bollocks.
As for Margaret Atwood’s comment:
It is fear of jest rather than death, which prohibits men from coming forward.
And it’s not fear of jest that forces women to behave the same.
And the figures back up her sentiment on this issue as well.

People are beginning to realise that domestic violence isn't always the man beating the woman.
20+ years ago I dated a police woman who headed the local domestic violence unit.
She said she was astounded at the number of men being beaten by their wives.
And not a single man had pressed charges.
In the news recently a UK man died from domestic abuse.
He suffered years of it (including his wedding day).
It isn't something to scoff at.

Men are afraid that women will laugh at them.
Women are afraid that men will kill them.
I thought that was glib and rather distasteful.
I'd take her out of there and 'show her the world' ... but she wont let me. Catch 22? well whatever it is, it;s a sad and dreary place.. the surface is so much cleaner.
