Back in those days he had to use that as an example. He could have used cubs for sheep and Wolves for Goats if He had wanted to.
But when I say , hell isn't real . He's using a burning place called hell as a metaphor , my reading of that as non-literal isn't correct . You say he means sheep as a metaphor , but things like heaven , hell , sin , etc are to be taken literally . How is it that you are the final judge on what should be taken literally and what should not ? How can you have it both ways ?
I say he's talking to all the sheep , and not people . He's warning sheep that if they're bad they're going to hell . Sheep need to follow jc , not me .
