However, a bird may lay an egg whose genetic material differs from the bird that layed it. So a sort of proto-chicken would have layed an egg which had the DNA mutations neccesary to become a full fledged chicken.
I "believe" the chicken had to come first, before the egg could be produced. This, of course, does not infer satisfaction on either's part.
The egg had to come before the chicken, end of story.

If the Chicken came first then there would have to be a rooster to have sex with or else life would be imposseble. So it is more likly that the egg came in first because the may be more then 1 egg, thus the possibility of a rooster and a check to have another pair of egss.
