This bit however isn't vandalized:
According to leading conservative thinkers, no good Christian would ever be a Democrat. For example, Ann Coulter says "The Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the enemy for no purpose other than giving aid and comfort to the enemy. There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle. They fill the airwaves with treason, but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, disavow their own public statements. These people are not only traitors, they are gutless traitors."
Or these bits which clearly expose the bias Wikipedia has:
Conservapedia is a much-needed alternative to Wikipedia, which is increasingly anti-Christian and anti-American. On Wikipedia, many of the dates are provided in the anti-Christian "C.E." instead of "A.D.", which Conservapedia uses.
and:
Wikipedia often uses foreign spelling of words, even though most English speaking users are American. Look up "Most Favored Nation" on Wikipedia and it automatically converts the spelling to the British spelling "Most Favoured Nation", even there there are far more American than British users. Look up "Division of labor" on Wikipedia and it automatically converts to the British spelling "Division of labour," then insists on the British spelling for "specialization" also.[3]. Enter "Hapsburg" (the European ruling family) and Wikipedia automatically changes the spelling to Habsburg, even though the American spelling has always been "Hapsburg". Within entries British spellings appear in the silliest of places, even when the topic is American. Conservapedia favors American spellings of words.

What's the point here?

Providing help to your enemies? Isn't that what Jebus preached about?

Spelling it Hapsburg is just plain wrong. It's Habsburg.
Has the American consciousness finally reached a critical mass, polarised as well as wanting to polarise into either a staunchly left or right view?
Why is moderation or being well balanced seem like a swear word these days? The minute a dem says something, they are shouted down with the usual bleeding heart routine. If a gop says anything then they must be serving the needs of big business, or be a bunch of heartless ghouls scratching around to start another war.
Am I naive or misinformed to think that both sides have virtue in their arguments? Or is it that the two parties simply appeal to basic stereotypical characterizations of Americans.
You know the types. Hands off my stuff buddy or you can say hello to my friends Smith and Wesson. And in the other corner we have the missionary mindset that will self sacrifice to achieve a greater goal of harmony and enrichment for those less fortunate.
Is trying to stand towards the centre always going to come across as sitting on the fence?
Originally posted by kmax87One small point regarding your rather theatrical example. The left whiners aren't so much about "self sacrifice" as making others sacrifice whether they like it or not. I don't know that there are many on the right side that would advocate regulation to stop misguided altruism.

Originally posted by kmax87That stuff has nothing to do with the spelling of Habsburg. It is a name, in its original language german, it is spelt Habsburg.

In addition, you are making a very incorrect assumption about democrats, probably by making conclusions from a very extreme source. There are plenty of comparable arguments against republicans and conservatives.
