Is that supposed to be "clever" or do you have a point you wish to demonstrate with a stated position and rational support?

No, I'm demonstrating why most people don't take you seriously.

So... get on with the demonstration then.

Make a statement. Support it with examples and reason. Is that asking too much?

I KNOW why most people don't take me seriously. They are incapable of even signing their name without a chart.

Do you think that makes me angry? I've lived with it for 57 years now. I don't get angry when people can't reason. That is a sure way to lose ones marbles. And I offer you proof. I am here trying to teach you to offer ideas and supporting reason. Ain't I?

Please notice that you are "demonstrating why most people don't take you seriously" ... so then -- friggin' demonstrate instead of blow air.

If you really want to learn, then start thinking of questions or arguments. A good question is a good way to learn, but a good argument is even better ...[text shortened]... why did I have to get you angry in order to induce a thought instead of a "grunt" in passing?[/b]
you dont have to read minds. just read the post over. and you'll see where i clearly stated "it was religion."

i dont think i'm a silly kid, and i dont try to assume, nor did i EVER assume of what the world thinks of me 🙄. maybe you do, and that would talk a great deal about you...

and btw, i DIDNT add anything new to the other post, i added it to the NEXT post when you started asking me about "who, what, where, why, etc."

and i dont know why you get nasty to get a reaction out of me when you dont have to. why dont you tell me.

Your first post was just smart ass nothing with an "anything else" tacked on. Right?

I don't know why I try. Why did you post in the first place? I am smart enough to know you have no reason to ask me to expound, expand or discuss my views. True? So what did your "Anything else" mean? It meant that you want a fight. So I gave you one. Don't act all hurt. That is childish.

I don't think it should make you angry, I think it should make you think about it.

WHAT should make me angry or think about what? You have not espoused a single thought or point of view! What should make me angry? My own thoughts? They are the only opinions other than personal attacks in the thread. Except for WULEBGR. He made a good point and contributed a couple of intelligent examples and a few thoughts.

You have not said anything except how you hate me. That ain't exactly news, nor is it worthy of discussion. Demonstration will require you to actually state a position toward me. Then you should support it with examples. Then strengthen the examples with reason. That is how you can "demonstrate" what a great ape you are.

Example, please. Can you give me a sentence with the verb 'rational' in it?

I'm just curious.

Yes.

"The rational position taken by the UN was that Saddam was not to be trusted."

"The blue car has a good motor."

"The Rationalily of this view is debatable."
The blueness of the sky is not debateable, except on stormy days."

Ok. I'm glad. I guess. I would prefer it if you dared to actually take a position some time and join in a discussion of ideas. People who post are not what debate is about. Debate is about ideas.

Wellll ... errrrrr.... except for #zero. Then it's ok to just hate.

funny how you say i assume when YOU like to assume most of all. i dont want a "fight". i want to know where you were going with this idea of "content".

i gave you my examples.

"Rational" in this sentence is an adjective, as it modifies the noun "position".

But, who cares about such trivia. This thread quickly degenerated into SVW's foolish errand to prompt a clear proposition of fact or opinion out of lioyank, and then Palynka. Sigh.

Content matters, as does form, as I mentioned earlier. SVW offers a provocative perspective concerning specific content. I suspect that I lean in another direction with respect to the death penalty, and I disagree (as nearly always) with his caricature of liberals, although, sadly, there are far too many examples that he could point to as evidence.

Anyone wishing reasoned debate join in. If your reason cannot meet that of SVW's drunken rants (if that's his form this evening, as it often is) then please be silent. I'm gonna start drinking now, so please try to make sense.
