@proper-knob saidSeems to me that if a country put money into testing anyone associated with nursing homes, this would save the most lives.
Sweden has a massive problem with Covid-19 in care homes, along with every country.
More unemployed vs more deaths? I know which choice most people would take.
The problem is that those who are of employment age are not likely to die.
As far as I can tell a single person dying is what you are having a hissy fit. 8000 people die each day in the US.
I believe that the government cannot simply go into infinite debt. The only people benefiting from this shut down are the rich who are getting billions. No shut down and the rich cannot benefit like this.
Yet, you believe this is all about lives. It is not. It is all about subjecting the populace and lining the pockets of the rich.
@eladar saidThe thing is Eladar, and I’ve stated this many times before, you think you’re more free than Europeans, but what’s the reality?
@shavixmir
Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket.
In Europe:
- healthcare is taken care of
- public transport and infrastructure are some of the best in the world
- 40 hour work weeks
- most countries have 4,5 weeks paid vacation a year
- worker’s rights.
- you can drive anywhere you want in Europe: breakfast in France, lunch in Germany and an evening meal in Milan.
You constantly say we’re not free. What’s not free?
In the US you’re ruled by your boss and an economic system that forces a large part of the population to work more than 60 hours a week with 2 weeks vacation a year.
You can choose between 2 political parties and because of a fear of undefinable communism, instead of tax payers money getting spent on tax payers’ needs, it gets spent on buying weapons; which basically benefits only weapons manufacturers.
What’s your speed limit?
In most of Europe it’s 120 or 130km’s an hour. In Germany parts of the motorway system are: drive as fast as you want.
Where’s your freedom there?
In the Netherlands you can go to most work places dressed like a hippie.
Where’s your freedom there?
In the US the whole system is run by insurance companies, hell bent on cashing in on the silliest of notions.
Even the insurance companies are diminishing your freedoms. And you don’t notice. You don’t care.
@eladar saidYou pay taxes.
@shavixmir
What is not free? The freedom from government.
You have speed limits.
You have laws, rules and regulations.
You think all the freedoms we have should be traded so a couple of small cocked morons can carry weapons? You call that freedom?
@shavixmir saidI am not supposed to have a government that tells me what to believe, who I must associate with or if my livelihood is essential.
You pay taxes.

Those are actions of tyrants.
@eladar saidis trump university being sued?
This one is a great one. Universities should have thought this one through.

I haven't been paying much attention
@lemondrop saidI think that ship sailed.
is trump university being sued?
I haven't been paying much attention
There are going to be a huge number of lawsuits coming out of this shutdown which was not even needed.
@eladar saidHow can they sue them for following government mandates, that’s not to say the university’s shouldn’t refund the fees or perhaps waive a corresponding amount from future fees. Better that relatively wealthy universities take a hit than indebted students.

@lemondrop saidYes but it got sued for teaching a load of 💩 as opposed to not teaching anything due to the lockdown, Trumpschool might have upped its students knowledge base by simply not existing at all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if elader might had been one of its math teachers,.
3 bankruptcies = no bankruptcies
Planning permits = bribes

This makes sense.

Correct. Although they can still become very ill, and can still pass the virus on to other people.
As far as I can tell a single person dying is what you are having a hissy fit. 8000 people die each day in the US.
No one is having a 'hissy fit', your 'armchair psychology' predictor needs fixing.
Yet, you believe this is all about lives. It is not. It is all about subjecting the populace and lining the pockets of the rich.
If you say so.
@Proper-Knob
Really? You cannot go to work because, "see one person died today."
Literally this is true in many US states.
@eladar saidSorry, I have no clue what you are going on about.
