As I've said numerous times here, profanity is highly more preferable to the racist bile spewed by white supremacists.

Large cocks.

We don't need guns to compensate.
Um, no. I’d prefer to think it’s because the countries with low crime rates have a combination of good governance and good prospects for upward mobility. That is the formula for contented citizens. Contented citizens don’t feel the need to resort to violence to get their basic needs met.

HK is a special case. Remains to be seen how long good governance can survive there under the heel of Beijing.

Yes, I think shav sometimes does step over line, particularly on “vulgar” and “otherwise objectionable.” But he has toned it down a bit. Previously, his amp was dialed up to eleven.

I believe in free speech regardless of peoples feelings so I don't mind what he says.

To ban one person and not another is biased and wrong.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the mods look the other way with some people.

Coincidentally the ones who get away with offensive posts just so happen to be leftists.
Purely coincidence I'm sure 😏

Here's a test for ya,, moonman... gangs that commit crimes. And I prefer to step away from the obvious MS-13
and Bloods and Crypts, and look at such crime gangs as the Gambino Crime family, the Genovese Crime family, the Cohen Crime family. These gangs are Italian and Jewish and you can't really say that they were deprived at birth because of their ethnicity.

Explanation, please :-)

I have to admit… it costs me a lot of energy to lash out with vulgar poetry… it doesn’t flow as easily as a few years ago.

Maybe it’s old age. My vulgarity has went the way of the erection and the dodo.

You don't think Jews in 1930 " were deprived at birth because of their ethnicity"?!

The Irish came fleeing the Famine. The Sicilians fled extreme poverty as well.

Notice none of those criminal traditions are particularly active today now that they've established themselves in society. Yeah there are remnants but nothing like the 1920's.

Well, you have to look at what’s driving gangs. In many cases, I suspect it’s profit. So what are they selling? Mostly contraband, right? The infamous Chicago mobs got their start during Prohibition selling liquor. That was a stupid law which did not stop people drinking; it led directly to the rise of criminal gangs which could not be eradicated even after Prohibition was repealed. Those gangs simply expanded their ‘product line’ into gambling, prostitution, and heroin. If those items were legalized, regulated, and taxed, like cigarettes, the gangs would be out of business.

It's Crips, not Crypts.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crips

The Crips is an alliance of street gangs which is based in the coastal regions of southern California. Founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1969, mainly by Raymond Washington and Stanley Williams, the Crips were initially a single alliance between two autonomous gangs; it is now a loosely-connected network of individual "sets", often engaged in open warfare with one another. Traditionally, since around 1973, its members have worn blue clothing.

The Crips are one of the largest and most violent associations of street gangs in the United States. With an estimated 30,000 to 35,000 members in 2008, the gangs' members have been involved in murders, robberies and drug dealing, among other crimes. They have a long and bitter rivalry with the Bloods.

Etymology

Some sources suggest that the original name for the alliance, "Cribs", was narrowed down from a list of many options and chosen unanimously from three final choices, over the Black Overlords and the Assassins. Cribs was chosen to reflect the young age of the majority of the gang members. The name evolved into "Crips" when gang members began carrying around canes to display their "pimp" status. People in the neighborhood then began calling them cripples, or "Crips" for short. In February 1972 the Los Angeles Times used the term. Another source suggests "Crips" may have evolved from "Cripplers", a 1970s street gang in Watts, of which Washington was a member. The name had no political, organizational, cryptic, or acronymic meaning, though some have suggested it stands for "Common Revolution In Progress", a backronym. According to the film Bastards of the Party, directed by a member of the Bloods, the name represented "Community Revolutionary Interparty Service" or "Community Reform Interparty Service".
