Do you think it'll work? China's influence is growing in South America and Africa...
The dreamiest of dreamy results being that it helps in some small way to help the people of China to pressure their government to make some changes. Kinda like Russia I guess. American relations with Russia are still frosty, but they're better than they were.

One government was willing to give in, the other isn't.

Nobody knows the future though. Not that I'm holding my breath for China. Stalin would never have allowed Russia to come unglued like that either.
And like I said. That would be the dreamiest of dreamy outcomes.
I think realistically the best result for America is more opportunity for business in China.
Don't know if this was because of Saddams death or just a sick way to celebrate the coming holiday, but a bomb exploded in a Shia town. It killed 31 people. The locals ran down the man that parked the bus and beat him. To death. These were not militia, but everyday Iraqis.
I think this is how the Shia are going to react to anything the Sunni do. The everyday shia are so fed up with this garbage that they are ready to kill. If the sunni try a major offensive because of Saddams death, they will have made a mistake.
