I think the amount of oil used for fuel for transport, cars, semi trucks and busses outstrips the use of oil for plastics and lubes.
So there will indeed be a need for oil products but a lot less if we run cars on solar power derived electric or hydrogen. Hydrogen has the advantage of being able with minor mods to run on regular gas engines, maybe even diesel.
Of course electrics have their advantages along with the disadvantage, the biggest disadvantage being the rather low power density compared to gasoline or diesel fuel but the chemist set are upping the density.

Oil will always be in demand. Automobiles run on oil refined fuel. We need it for lubricants, plastics and lots of other things.

Wrong.

Each country will choose.
So if a country has its own oil supply and resources then they can build gasoline cars as long as they want.

We have cars now that are from the 1930's still running so your timeframe needs to add another 100 years.

Eventually car Tech will make gasoline cars obsolete but not in 30-50 years.

I don’t want to keep saying nasty 💩to you MB but WTF are you on about!? Many western countries are banning the production of the I.C.E by mid century along with a lot the Eastern industrialised nations, and if it ain’t electric it’s gonna be off the road by the last quarter of this century.
Any nation betting on fossil fuels to balance their books in the 21st century is in for a really lean time.

Always thought ICE was the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They became famous when Trump was holding kids in detention centres on the Mexican borders.
