Always thought ICE was the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
It is, but not in the context being used on this thread.

The USA is the dominant world power right now and it will stay that way. If we don't dominate the world someone else will.

Any nation that imports oil needs US dollars. To get dollars from us they need to sell us products in return for dollars. That is one of the reasons the trade deficit is like it is.

The oil buying world will remain in servitude to our empire. If you want oil you need to lower your prices. If we don't do it some other nation will.
Well.
Okay. That’s not an everyday opinion.

I’m not sure the US is the sole dominating power at the moment.

I do agree that, historically speaking, there have always been dominating powers.

But, I think your empire (the US) is in servitude to the oil producing and selling nations. Not as you suggest, vise-versa.

I mean, it’s (one of the factors) forced you into war after war.
It’s forced you to back the most atteocious of regimes.
It’s lured you into overthrowing democratically chosen regimes.

It’s transformed the US from world hero (1945) to outright Bond villian.

The US’s addiction to oil has sped along the outsourcing of most of its industry, leaving nothing but poverty, trailer parks, trillions of debt and paranoia in its wake.

And now, as the oil addicted beast staggers on its last legs, the drugs and gun lobbies are pulling it into history’s ooze of regimes past: civil strife, a collapse from within and rational decay set in...

Not a last hoora! like Thelma and Louise or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, not a wink or a finger pointing like Indiana Jones or Casablanca... it’s a slow and embarrassing shuffle, like trump walking down a ramp, off the world stage.

Are you a silent observer? Why not make a contribution instead o cheering or ridiculing from the sidelines. Is that all you are capable of?

What would be North and South America be like now had all the countries gotten together and agreed to be one country. Why is Hawaii so prosperous? The Cayman islands, Puerto Rico, likewise. Why is Jamaica, Haiti, Honduras etc, a st ...[text shortened]... be paradise on Earth.

The reason is simple. Thrid world countries cannot manage their resources.

WoW.

Russia has it that good?
Live and learn I guess. 🤔
I expected Canada or China to have more natural resources.

Arable limitations like Canada.
But you said they have abundant resources.

I figured China or Canada were better off. 🤔

Russia could never hold Alaska especially during the cold war.

Yes. India’s main attraction is man-power. Cheap labour.

Russia does have resources, but the scale of corruption undermining her outward political ambitions deters her from being imperialistic.
