@jimm619 saidThe FRS is privately owned.
I am pleasantly surprised that you watch PBS NEWS, MB/
Shav is correct on this one.
Printing money is a very small part of inflation.
If you get 5 top economists in a room, you're likely
as not to get 5 different opinions. Greenspan was a so-called
economic genius until the 2008 bust.

'The Federal Reserve,' is a p ...[text shortened]... overnmental agency.

Who owns stock shares in the Federal Reserve System and how much?
@metal-brain saidMurdoch... Koch... Trump...
It used to be the corporate news media and mostly owned by billionaire John Carl Malone, MacNeil and Lehrer who retained editorial control.

@metal-brain saidThat's true, but you should blame the billionaires, billionaire-owned social networks, and mega-corporations themselves for that, not the governments and so-called "main stream media". It's Musk and Bezos who fuel inflation - and China! - not the Guardian or the FDA.
Poorer people are disproportionately burdened by inflation.
Inflation is rapacious form of class warfare. Plutocracy at it's worst.

What is your source of information?
@metal-brain saidNot really accurate to describe the least corporate news media source as corporate.
Okay, you got me on a technicality.
It is still propaganda though and it is funded by corporations and foundations quite a bit so I would argue that there is little difference.

It is still run by those same people. PBS also as BBC America on their broadcast, just more propaganda no different than the corp news media.
PBS and NPR are both propaganda outlets with no different propaganda than the corp news media. They omitted the $1,9 Trillion dollars as a factor causing inflation. They omitted the main cause of inflation. That is grossly irresponsible no matter who does it.
PBS spreads propaganda. Stop defending it.
@shallow-blue saidSo you have none. Stop trolling.
Embarrassing your mother again, metal?
Nobody really believes creating $1.9 trillion dollars (out of nothing like counterfeiting) doesn't cause inflation. Anybody who denies it is a liar and they know it. That is more money than the top 16 wealthiest people in the world combined on this Forbes list.
