I always believed that the people of europe would be happier united than divided. However, i don't think the powers that be really give a monkeys about that, this is just going to end up a beurocratic nightmare, govornments blaming their ills on other countries with absolutely no accountability when things go wrong (which they always do sooner or later).
Originally posted by marinakatombTrue, the bureaucracy in Bruxelle is a nail at our coffin. And be sure it will get worse now we are expanding. But everybody is aware of that problem and solutions will come. But it takes time and we should take our time to find these solutions. It is immense what is happening.

I also feel that the anti-Europeans in England use this problem as a false excuse to stay at side line and wait and wait. I must say I do not feel much respect for England's attitude in this. They leave the starting problems for the other countries and will tune in when their bed is spread. Nevertheless, you are still very welcome 🙂

Yeah, I certainly hope so. Unfortunately Britain seems to be going in the wrong direction at the moment. I can't believe that instead of a referendum on the Euro, we're going to have one on the bloody constitution instead. And if that's lost we'll be completely stuffed. Whatever happened to our supposedly pro-European government?
But yeah, I'll keep the faith for now.
