@averagejoe1 saidAre you trying to indicate that honesty is not a conservative value?
You got me. No Macdonald’s. Clever guy, not unlike Handy Andy.

@athousandyoung saidAnd dental too. About time.
He resents the wealthy being taxed to provide glasses and hearing aids for the poor.

@kevin-eleven saidLet’s put you in the I-don’t-get-analogies category. Handy Andy is your proctor.
Are you trying to indicate that honesty is not a conservative value?
@averagejoe1 saidWould it kill you to be honest for once?

@kevin-eleven saidNope. All in Nasdaq, if you must know. Do y’all know that Elon Musk’s compensation was $6.7Billion in 2020??? Doesn’t include value of his stock. It is time to kick him to the gutter....(but after we pick his pockets.

@kevin-eleven saidYou can’t be serious. That I said as an example that I’m working at McD and save my money....does that make me selfish. So I was lying? I keep trying to get thru to all of y’all, esp Suzisnne, who consider such a thing selfish.
Would it kill you to be honest for once
That was about as easy an example for her that I could think of, and I had to make it personal (Me), since she implied that I am selfish.

@kevin-eleven saidLet’s say that buying the hearing aids is no big deal. But Kevin, UBI is TWELVE THOUSAND annual, TO EVERY ADULT, it is a big deal. $24k for a couple. You fellers were all about it, still are, and, you would take the money.
I was in fact responding to your OP, which I took to be a reaction to the US Congress either passing or proposing a Medicare expansion to cover free eyeglasses and hearing aids for senior citizens (i.e., 65 years of age and older).
Or were you unaware of the context of your own post when you started this thread?
My post used hearing aids, because months ago , you never responded like adults to the UBI issue. So today, I made it easy for you, tried hearing aids. FREE,
None of you EVER say anything about the way your representatives blow money, and obviously buying votes. One of you said I need a course in civics ? But, Because y’all do not understand economics, my civics class would be wasted, because civility will disappear when we all spiral down. There is only one group of rich folks.....what will be your next source of revenue....well,I mean after you hit up the middle class?
Why no thoughtful answers here? There never are.
@averagejoe1 saidInteresting but telling that Obvious Troll should mention civility.

@phranny saidYeah. Bernie says we all have a Right to these things. But he never completed his sentence, just like y’all don’t.
And dental too. About time.
That is, a Right has to come from somewhere, does it not? I give you a Right to drive my VW. The Right comes from me. From whence does a Right to band-aids for all Americans come from? It is not in the Constitution.
Why can you not answer the questions of AvJoe?

@kevin-eleven saidI do deal with it. As the world turns, we endeavor to ‘conserve’. Like guarding a water tank. You want to pull it down and use it up. And you are doing it, just today in the Senate.
If "your side" (and I'm not as binary a thinker as you seem to be) can muster the votes to do things differently, then "our side" will just have to grit our teeth and deal with it, just as you should be doing now. 😉
If we turn the tables in 2022, then you will grit your teeth when we slow the water to a dribble, and not knowing how to get your own water (equates to lacking self sufficiency), you will all get thirsty and STILL be after our stuff.
Golly, another analogy and I didn’t even know I was doing it. Hope you weren’t offended, to quote a liberal word.

@kevin-eleven saidInteresting, yes, that you don’t answer the post, thought you’d do a clever non-comment.
Interesting but telling that Obvious Troll should mention civility.
So, after you bleed the rich, where do you go next? The middle class! I figure. What say you?

@averagejoe1 saidIn addition to running 500 companies, you find time to put in a shift at McDonalds. 😛
What do you mean by selfishness. I made $132 on my shift at McDonalds today. Technically, when i put the money in my pocket, I think i qualified as selfish at that moment.. Why, i was heading home to my piggy bank.
So, at what point, in your opinion ,should things change?
