He has no jurisdiction over state crimes and this is only round one for Manafort, so he can walk into the state trial a free man and get convicted there, he does whatever the state crimes state for jail time and Trump is helpless to intervene.
The bottom line there is Manny will never be ANYTHING again. The only question left is how much money he hid away for his wife in case he bites the dust legally speaking.
