@jimmac saidAs long as the democratic process is working then by definition the best for the job will always be picked.
Yes, yes, I agree, but remember we need to take turns, !st a woman, whatever that means these days, then a transvestite. Though wait a sec, we may cover both those bases at the same time, Then lets not forget all the splinter groups within these factions, we may never have a male again, fantastic, unless of course he thinks he is a woman. etc etc etc ad-infinitum.
Go for it ...[text shortened]... mean in 2000 yrs when then gay toilet cleaners get there turn it may seem a bit over the top stupid.

@quackquack saidWhat does that matter? In a democratic system there is one vote per citizen. So clearly people did not like HC enough.
People likely disagree with you on who is the best candidate.

Not on any planet are either of these two Suitable, really, that the best y'all have, come on. You might of picked the best of two dummies but really.

@jimmac saidYes always. No exceptions. If not then the democratic process has failed. One man one vote. Of course you are free to disagree with peoples opinion if you like but that is futile. People liked Trump therefore he was the best man according to the people. Your opinion about Biden, likewise. The best man wins the election. Its not be best the US has at all. Its the best of the slate of candidates.

@mchill saidHow many world leaders have their been since the 60s? If we estimate that each country has had 10 leaders since the 60s and there are about 200 countries, that means there have been 2000 world leaders since the 60s. If there have been 40 world leaders that are women, that is just 2%.
No less than 40 nations have had female leaders since the 1960's. Why can't America, the (so called) beacon of Democracy and opportunity in the world manage to do this??
https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2016/06/politics/women-world-leaders/
The US has had 10 presidents since LBJ. If the US has had roughly the same probability of having a women leader as other countries, it would have had a (1-0.02)^10 chance of having all male presidents. That comes to around 81%.
So clearly, there is no statistical evidence to suggest the US is less inclined that the rest of the world to pick a female president. It seems more likely that with a small sample (only 10) that our selection rate is more in line with the rest of the world.
This is only a "back of napkin" estimate. If you thing my math is off, put forth your own estimates and give us your calculations.

@averagejoe1 saidOnce he got the votes then he is better, otherwise you are saying that 50.8 % of the electorate are stupid
Uhhhhhh, Jimmy Carter??

@rajk999 saidOf course the majority are stupid and the candidates/parties know that. Why do you think they put Biden up against trump?? Weather or not you believe that Biden was or was not better than trump, he is blatantly a dud, come on, the best they have and thats it.

@mchill said....Probably get us into less wars....
