The reason I ask is that there is a big controversy as to whether or not the film came out to soon after the tradgedy. I just don't know if is in good taste putting it out so soon. Personally, I think people need to be refreshed as to what happened and what is still out there to harm us. If you remember, the world trade centers were first attacked in the early 1990's. Then they waited about ten years later until the second attack. I think people feel safer as the years pass, but in actuality, they are probably less safe with each passing year.

And yes, let's not forget.
Haven't seen the movie yet, undecided as to whether or not I'll go.
Originally posted by whodeyI haven't seen it because it is completely out at my video store. I know people who are very emotionally involved with the attacks though. I kind of understand what they are going through, but my reaction to people who are freaking out about the movie is that they need to chill out and move on.
Any one see it yet? I saw it last night. Reactions?
If the movie is bad or innacurate, then fight against that, but don't freak out over the making of such movie.

This is also despite the fact you are killing civilians who have not declared war on you and who are in no position to fight back? Would you call it a tradgedy if a loved one of yours was on that plane? You would'nt happen to pray east five times a day, do you?

I think they're all tragedies.
Originally posted by scottishinnzI would agree that all war is tradgic. It just chills me to the bone when someone is blind to that fact.

How many friends and family did I lose in the attacks that resulted in tragedy?
Do I pray at all?
Do you?
Am I blind or can I "really" see?
Do you know the definition of tragedy and have you learned to spell the word correctly yet?

Actually, I was just thinking about flight 655.
Remember that?
No, I didn't think you would.
That was the Iranian passenger plane with 290 passengers onboard which was shot down by the USS Vincennes in 1988 (all died).
Amazingly enough, the captain of the US ship which shot down the passenger plane (an airbus a300) was rewarded a medal!
Now, just in case you might be thinking: "Ohhhh...they must have thought it was a MIG". No. A passenger plane has a total different signature.
Maybe a wee film about this little incident might shed some light on some deep-seated hatreds? mhmmmm....
