It is written that God grants us all that we need. If we need to do much, then we are granted much to do with which may indeed be "material wealth". While this is easy for me to state as this point is written numerous times, it is only ...[text shortened]... f the question.

Passages that are misinterpreted to support the assertion that christians will receive material blessings are :
3 John 2
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. [Distorted to mean believers will receive everything including wealth in abbundance]
MATTHEW 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you."

Wealth of spirit and soul. That is what we can gain by "simplification". I don't think that monetary accumulation enters into the question of our happiness or sadness.
I have three extremely rich friends. One of them is extremely miserable. One family is extremely happy. One of them is "uncertain" and fight the same battles of doubt and depression that wrack my existence.
What makes this difference? The one rich friend who is happy in spite of being rich, plays it like a game. He knows the rules and follows them. Money is a tool to enable him to fulfill the traditions that are important in his heritage. He does it well. His family is... quite naturally, the fulfillment of his dream. A very wonderful family.
The one who is rich and miserable lost his wife to cancer. And a son to an accident. And has faced the spector of children and drugs.
That God should get involved in things of money and personal wealth seems a stretch. Should she exist, I rather think she is busy creating one of the Ten New Star Systems that our universe will produce this and every day. It's a big place.
Wind it up and bless it and get on with creating. Good advice from God to us. Why not try to be like him/her? Wind up your life, bless it the best you can and get on with it. Bitterness will make you unpalatable to all who taste you. Be as happy as possible.
