Three reasons why climate-change deniers are still getting a hearing:
1. people don't want to give up their comfort zones, and hearing that we are causing climate change leads to the obvious conclusion that to stop climate change from spiralling beyond our ability to adapt to it, we have to give up our comfort zones.
2. big business is heavily invested in the status quo ...[text shortened]...
3. politicians, especially at the conservative end of the spectrum, are beholden to big business.
This is 7 minutes if you want to bother.
@metal-brain saidWarm water getting to 100F off the coast of Florida is killing coral reefs.
We can adapt to climate change. We have been for millions of years. Look up "obvious" because you don't know what it means.
The US military is the number one polluter. Why do you condone them continuing to emit more CO2 in the atmosphere than any other source? Do you support restricting the common people from CO2 emissions because you want the US military to continue their mass polluting? Explain your crazy logic.
That's the tip of the iceberg for ocean fauna.
@moonbus said4. Don’t give a damn. If it heats up… good.

If you humans go extinct… so what?
And on a side note: MB is not a socialist
@suzianne saidPeter Ridd, the university of Queensland's, longest serving " scientist " studying the great barrier reef, was sacked, in 2018, because he claimed that the university was " fudging the data ". The claim was exactly what you are saying, global warming is killing the reef, he strongly refuted the claims. Today no-one, ok the " mainstream ", debates that the reef is going "great", thanks very much. lets see what happens in Florida in 5 yrs yes, and even if you are right, watch the damn clip, he is on your side, for this clip anyways.

here is the point, go against the narrative and you will lose your job, happens time and time again.

On a side note: MB does not believe what he posts. His purpose here is to sow disinformation and discord. It's not working; no one here believes him anyway.

@metal-brain saidYou are a complete and utter imbecile, MB.
You are sowing disinformation idiot.
God damn, you’re an accurate sensor for wrong opinions.
@jimmac saidThe speaker in this video has Woke wrong. Those who believe rapid and devastating climate change is caused by humans are all for developing technologies that allow us to move away from fossil fuels. Being Woke means working to get governments to support the development of renewable energy resources. In the U.S., the Republican Party continues to promote fossil fuels and is working to eliminate agencies tasked with protecting the environment. Many in the religious Christian right wing deny that humans are causing climate change or they deny that a climate change is a problem.

Nobody cares about ground temps either. Of course the sidewalk in the sun is hot. So is sand at the beach. You are the complete and utter imbecile!

Karl Marx... Please!!
Fidel and Raul Castro became $Billionaires by exploiting the ten million people in Cuba, all while the average state worker makes $20/month.
You're a complete FOOL if you follow totalitarian politicians. All they do is lie to get their foot in the door.
From there, they turn into the biggest, wealthiest slave drivers around. Kim of NKorea is the 36th richest man in the world.
Don't give this good-feel ^theory^ crap. Look at reality. Show me ONE country that flourished under communism

2nd/ I doubt many do not believe human activity does "not" impact climate, just how much, 0.0000005% to what, you name it.
3/ I doubt anyone does not believe that we need to move away from fossil fuels, just for different reasons. Me, nought to do with climate.
4/ regardless of weather or not climate "change" is a problem, some of Mankind think themselves Gods that we can wave a wand and fix it. We can not but we can adapt. BTW, climate is a problem, always was, always will be.
@shavixmir
At this point, the European Space Agency entered the scare-fest and the BBC duly reported its view that Sardinia and Sicily were expected to hit a high of 48°C. As I noted on Tuesday, this fanciful prediction came from a press release issued by the European Space Agency, where it started using measurements from the ground rather than the conventional air temperature.
