Secondly, I am not the Tea Party despite your high opinion of me. Perhaps some do and have a different view of this. As for why I have said I oppose it, I have heard nothing from you in terms of a rebuttal.

Lets call ...[text shortened]... d, or the great economy, or Obamacare? In short, they have nothing to point to and be proud of.
So— It’s really the Republicans versus the masses? Nice to get that sorted out…

The battle this Novermber is Democrat verses Republican is it not? The Democrats have to have something to sell and this is it. That was all I was saying. Unfortunatly, I think what the Democrats are selling would be bad for American business, therefore, there would be fewer businisses or fewer jobs within those businesses. I think they may be doing this on purpose knowing that their opposition will oppose it. They can then use it saying that the Republicans are the part of no and the reason you all have no jobs.

Of course, forget that the Democrats have controlled Congress for four years and the entire federal government for two years.

There's no debate possible. You believe that all you have to say is 'business killing' and any Republican can start carting pallets of cash out of the Treasury. This bill is so modest it is beyond my belief that anyone could oppose without simultaneously admitting that they care nothing for this country. It ends a sweet-deal tax-break for heaven's sake. I hear day after day how the deficit is such a big issue but when public money is not being shoveled out the doors of Congress to business interests chicken-littles cry foul. Like all Republicans you have zero real interest in addressing the deficit. Your main and only goal is to keep the gravy train rolling to whoever can throw some cash the party's way. The corruption is so deep and unconscious that you can't even see it. For 30 years I've heard it was going top start trickling any moment and good jobs were coming. In 30 more years I'll be dead and you, as you hunch over in your cave to stir the fire, I hope you'll remember what I'm telling you now. It will never happen. It is more likely that Jesus will come to get me in fiery chariot than the Republicans will do anything to pay down the deficit or improve the economy for the majority of the American People.

You are the one who distinguished between “the masses” and “the Republicans”. I think that is quite telling.

I’m fine with letting the masses decide between this or that Democrat or Republican in November. I will be one of them.

I would like to disuss the specifics of the bill in questoin instead of a rambling rant about how evil the Republicans are. Thanks for that. 😛

There is a difference isn't there. In fact, there is a difference between the masses and the Democrats as well. Both parties heed to be kicked hard between the legs Visted. 😠

The Tea Partiers are Republicans (whether establishment or not). They're just more right-wing and intolerant. They no more represent the multi-ethnic, multi-religious, masses of the citizenry of this country than did/does John McCain.

Wow. So you would say that those in the Tea Party are racists and bigots? If so, please provide examples. If not, stop drinking the progressive coolaide.

As for John McCain, I was hoping he would lose his seat.

They give lip service to balancing the budget but did anything but the last time they were in power. They say they want to repeal Obamacare but under Bush implemented one of the largest entitlements in US history. In fact, even Obama joked about not knowing how to pay for it. Most of them applaud the continued conflicts overseas but what really needs to be done is bring the troops home. Many agree with such legislation as the Patriot Act simply because Bush proposed it but the idea apalls me. How is that for starters?

OK! So, like me, you don't recommend that anyone cast a vote for any Republicans. They have all been shown to be complete and total liars. Look at that Miller guy in Alaska that maintains that unemployment insurance is unconstitutional but gladly accepts it every chance he gets (just like farm subsidies!) Similarly, Angle in Nevada pledges never to be involved in back-room deals but then tries to make a deal with the Tea Party candidate to quit the race. Offering him 'juice' in Washington. The lightweight in Delaware can't even keep straight the lies she's told about her education. How can anyone believe liars like this? The hypocrisy of the Republican has no sounding depth. I'd be extremely ashamed to admit that I had ever considered a vote for one of these perjurers (not to worry, I am still of capable of judging whether someone can be trusted based on past performance - are you?)
