The post that was quoted here has been removed(1) As I do not regard graffiti as 'Art', but as infantile vandalism, I
have responded appropriately to your post on this subject.
(2) Since we have nothing in common I have no wish to receive any sort of private message from you.
(3) As to 'hanging around you', thst is the last thing I would wish to do. One has only to look at the seedy little 'Avatar' you have chosen to display on your RHP profile to see what a low-grade mentality you have.
(4) Whilst you continue to post crap on this forum I shall feel free to
respond accordingly.

The post that was quoted here has been removedI don't care if it is a creative political attack on the notion of private property or not (though I hope most of it isn't). I believe that thrusting your views down the throat of people who don't want it is extremely rude at best. Just because you're an artist doesn't give you a god given right to do what you please i.e. destroy (in some peoples view) the work and effort that someone has done to build and maintain a wall nor does it give you the right to abandon common courtesy. There are plenty of other ways to get your "powerful" message across and plenty of methods of making it "open source" if you wish.
Much of the stuff I do in my spare time is in the field or arts, hell I even attempt to be challenging at times and have even offended some people. I would not exhibit my image of a cross being throttled by a Tampon string in a church but in a place where people choose to go to see images. It's only polite.
I appreciate you are distinguishing tagging from art and I hope most of the people here do too. However, just because it's good, it doesn't make it right in my view.

Originally posted by WheelyI agree, In any case I have yet to see anything beyond infantile rubbish of the sort which would appeal to individuals like catfood displayed on public walls.

Here's some pavement art which doesn't attempt to say anything at all. It may lack that "right-on", "how hip am I!" punch but is pretty impressive anyway if only as a demonstration of skills in perspective.

The post that was quoted here has been removedNo, I don't consider it fine for anybody to thrust views down my throat but as I mentioned in a previous post, you can't justify artists doing it just because advertisers do it. You must protest against the advertisers instead.
Yes I do have a link. Technically it isn't especially exciting but it got a few weirdos upset.

Again, I would presume that those that don't hold private property dear would at least have the courtesy to respect those that did. In any case we are not talking about private property, we are talking about public property and public areas. If there is one thing a person should be able to do without any interference from society is to breathe air and travel unmolested by foot. Not sure about trespass though.
The post that was quoted here has been removedYes, I can see similarties but the major difference is that nobody has to clear it up afterwards because it generally gets rained on and if I hate what this guy does I don't have to see it every day.
There is great art on the streets and I really like some things I have seen but I'd much rather it was somewhere else.
The post that was quoted here has been removedHmm... I dunno if I like the idea of graffiti artists attacking private property to make a point about it. I'm willing to take the good with the bad when it comes to a guy putting up a picture he thinks will make people stop and think, but I have to admit, if a guy put soemthing on my front door to try to teach me a lesson about his opinion on my views regarding private property, I'd be understandably pissed off.
As for an imaginative image (like the adulterous wife witht he man hanging out of the window) I'd be less inclined to argue and may appreciate hime sprucing up and individualising my front door.
