By marbles do you mean testicles?
Originally posted by whodeyI didn't accuse you of being a crazy drunkard because you don't have progressive views. I accused you of that because you sound like a paranoid and lunatic sore loser who won't get over the fact that Obama won the election.

Originally posted by generalissimoI am not only upset that Obama won the election, I am also upset that Bush served for two terms. Also, I have to live with myself with the knowledge that I voted for him. In addition, I now feel as though there is no where to turn becuase I have finally awakened to the fact that both parties are headed in the same direction. I suppose if you are not concerned about the direction they are headed nor agree that they are both headed in the same direction that I sound either crazy or paranoid.

Pff, go back to general, man!!
Originally posted by generalissimoSorry to disagree there, GM, but I don't think whodey is bitter about Obama specifically. If McCain had won, I doubt he'd be much more friendly to the government. He's not exactly GWB's biggest fan either. Whodey can correct me if I'm wrong.

Whodey, your recent posts are starting to sound a bit paranoid, if you don't mind my saying so. Let's try to stick to "X's ideas are good and Y's ideas are bad." Not "Y's ideas are bad and Y is secretly an escaped murderer who beats his wife and is really a space alien in any case."
Originally posted by sh76I see little difference between Bush, Obama, and McCain. For me they are the embodiment of the "Three Stooges". If not, what is really different about them? Oh, yea, one guy is the first African American President and he is young and hip. My bad.

As for me sounding paranoid, perhaps there is an element of truth with that. But then, with my freedoms seemingly diminishing with every Congressional vote, do you blame me?

In any case, you can't do anything about it anyway, unless you plan to start an armed revolution, which is not a good idea. Just relax and leave the governing to the guys and gals who have been elected to take salaries from taxpayers, try to grab a little pork for their districts and jabber on front of microphones every once in a while, all for our viewing pleasure.
The government isn't really that bad. They're not coming for you. Maybe they'll decrease your healthcare choices a bit and they either will or will not raise your taxes a bit. But things aren't going to fundamentally change much in the next decade or two. We'll all be fine. your freedom isn't going anywhere.
Trust me. Would I steer you wrong? 😉

Originally posted by sh76Why is it that any time a conservative shows a little spunk and begins to be critical of government, the assumption is that they are ready to take up arms against their government? I guess it is why conservatives are seen as more of a threat by the current administration than say Al Quada.

Anyhew, all I can say is that if one wants to invoke change one needs to set upon a new course. Granted, those of us who like the course we are on or are indifferent like yourself have no interest in this. All I can say is so be it. As for myself, I see the beginnings of a movement with the current Tea Parties around the nation. Perhaps one day you may even see the wisdom of becoming active and pursuing change like those who attend Tea parties or something like them? I can relax and enjoy the day just like I can anywhere else. 😉
As for the change Obama talked about, where exactly is that I wonder?
