LOL and that's all he's going to do.....neither he nor Kamala have a done a thing ....Biden said he spent two hours on the phone, so everything's gonna be all right, I'm sure.
Says the types who don’t believe in climate change and oppose any measures to counter it.

Says the types who don’t believe in taxation and government spending on things like infrastructure. Yeah, I’m sure the market will sort out the dam troubles you’re having…

Says the types who don’t want to help people fleeing desperate situations.
If the show fits, wear it.

@AverageJoe1
It sounds like to me Trumpite repubs killed the border bill because Trump did not want Biden to get any credit for handling the border crisis, Trump is the one who killed that bill so that stopped 1500 new border agents from being deployed to handle influx of immigrants, legal and illegal.
And new judges and their staff to get through the massive backlog of entry cases.
Real winner there, Trump would rather there NEVER be a solution to the border crisis rather than having ANY democrat pass legislation, ESPECIALLY bipartisan legislation that helps control our border.
Smooth move, your assshole candidate.

I was hoping we could stick to the massive hurricane but that went out the window.

Border bill was killed because it did nothing to defend the border.

the border bill did nothing to require border control…it did provide 60 billion for money laundering ukraine

Biden could fix the border simply by UNDOING his restrictions on Trumps border rules.

Keep on with the Trumpite BULLCRAP. ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED BORDER AGENTS DOES HELP THE ISSUE.

But it put a cap of 5000 illegals per day before they were supposed to start trying to stop them. 150,000 per month allowed in before any action? THAT'S why it didn't pass, it did nothing and was filled with democrat pork addendums that had nothing to do with securing the border.

All those good old boy Republicans want the "government off their backs" Now they're going cap in hand to the "Government" for Federal disaster relief.

More Republican hypocrisy on full display. 😕
Disaster relief is one of the few areas that even most libertarians agree that government could be good for.

I know this is a little off topic, but now that you brought it up, I'd posit something like this on a scale of anarchist to communist in terms of the appropriate role of government.

I would say I'm somewhere around an 11. Maybe I'll call myself an 11.2.

Most "liberals" here would be closer to about a 13.5, with the occasional extremist being closer to 15.

I'm guessing the most right wing people here are maybe about a 7 to 7.5.

My guess is that nobody here opposes government disaster relief.

1 little or no government
2 protect people's safety against violent crime
3 protect people against economic crime
4 protect people against misrepresentations and false advertising and the like
5 disaster relief
6 provide essentials that private cannot realistically provide (fire, police, roads)
7 provide essentials for poor people to ensure health and safety
8 provide essentials for poor people to ensure minimum standard of living
9 provide additional services for people according to the people's voted representatives
10 regulate and stimulate the economy when necessary
11 exercise further economic controls on business
12 re-distribute property to close the wealth gap
13 do whatever is necessary to ensure equality of opportunity
14 do whatever is necessary to ensure equality of outcomes
15 Government controls the means of production
16 Abolish private property

That’s an interesting scale.
I’m probably around 13.

But higher than that it becomes rather inane.
Nobdy wants the government to control everything. It’s diffferent if you call the producing classes controlling their production “government.” though. But that’s not the same as a centralised body dictating what the masses should do.
