Yes. At it should be. I pay taxes, i bloody should get benefits out it. The state paid for my college, now i pay taxes to help others. To build highways. The fact that i am debt free means i took out a loan and bought a house. I bought a car. A freakin fridge. I contributed back to society.

The benefits that we get from taxes are: Providing Public Services, Providing National Security, Providing Economic Security, and Maintaining Order, and in some cases, providing economic assistance, like Subsidies, Student Loans, etc. Our Preamble sets all this out, ,but no mention of free college or abortions, etc. The government uses our taxes for those purposes. Do you think they should do MORE??? How much more? Cook your breakfast? Pay for you to go to college?..., to either study hard and contribute back to society, or to hang around at the college as a parasite and do/learn nothing, on my dollar?
Your 'building highways' falls under our govt Public Service above. But there is nothing in there about college. BTW college is not for everyone. So if you get free college and I don't go to college, how do you square that, Zahlanzi?
As to buying your house,, you could borrow the money from your Uncle Vinny, or a local bank. What has that to do with the government?

I really don't know if you have freedom over there or not, never been there, so I only base my thoughts on your socialist leanings. The more you lean, the less free you are. I will teach my children to NOT be dependent, and to work for everything that they want.
