John McCain is demonstrating to the American people that he cannot run a competent campaign. Here are the top ten reasons why the Republicans need a different nominee (Note: all of these blunders happened in one single week - this week).

1. McCain unambiguously called Social Security "an absolute disgrace."
2. McCain's top economic policy adviser calls Americans a bunch of "whiners" for being worried about the slumping economy.
3. Iraqi leaders call for a timetable for U.S. withdrawal, McCain gets caught in a bizarre denial and flip flop.
4. McCain's economic plan to cut the deficit has no details and is simply not believable.
5. McCain's deficit plan includes bringing the troops home represents a major Iraq flip-flop.
6. McCain campaign misled about economists support.
7. McCain makes a joke about killing Iranians.
8. McCain denies, flatly, that he ever said that he is not an expert in economics (which he clearly did, see video examples).
9). McCain distorts his record on veterans benefits in response to a question from Vietnam Veteran, who then proceeds to call McCain out on it (see video).
10.) McCain demonstrates he knows nothing about Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Here are the details:

America is definately full of whiners though. They mostly are in the Democratic party and Liberal. Piss and moan over every little thing. Don't have any solutions but, they love to whine.

You can't talk -- you read Fox News, which is far more biased than just about anything from the left. (Yes, I read Fox News on occasion for perspective's sake, but I don't put much stock in what they say.)

To be honest, I don't think people even care about these issues. When it comes to presidential politics, people generally vote against someone rather than vote for someone. It generally comes down to a lesser of two evils. In this case people will probably want to vote against "W", therefore, if Obama can frame McCain as a second "W" administration he will win.

As for McCain, however, he must distance himself from "W" and show that he can provide new leadership. More than likely, McCain will take the angle that Obama is wet behind the ears with next to no credentials to be President. In fact, he has not even been a senator long enough to have much of a record to attack. In addition, it appears that McCain will attack Obama because he has no viable energy policy to meet the current crisis. I say this because I saw a commercial today by McCain which showed that he favored such solutions as off shore drilling and nuclear power plants and then said Obama has no plan whatsoever other than taxing oil companies.

I'll give you $344 billion reasons why Obama won't be president:

According to the nonpartisan National Taxpayers Union, Ill. Sen. Barack Obama's fiscal agenda will cost $344 billion a year. The Illinois senator's plans include:

• A government health care system that would likely cost more than $100 billion a year.
• A $1.7 billion Community Development Block Grant program featuring a full range of housing, job training, and community development services.
• An "Affordable Housing Trust Fund" costing $2.7 billion over five years.
• A "Making Work Pay" tax credit to offset Social Security taxes costing $308 billion over five years.

In addition, Obama plans to spend:

• Some $2.5 billion over 10 years in trade adjustment assistance for service workers.
• Some $90 billion over five years for early and K-12 education.
• Some $29 billion over five years for a new college tax credit program.
• Some $35 billion to expand Pell grants for poor college students.

All this federal "assistance" will be of little aid to those it seeks to help if we have an economy crushed under the weight of hundreds of billions in new taxes, especially taxes on those who invest in the private sector, says Investor's Business Daily. That will mean the have-nots will not have jobs.

Why not? Liberals view the Bush tax cuts as somehow cheating the government out of its money.

No I don't agree with the liberals. If someone earns the money, then it belongs to them, not the government. Therefore, a tax cut should never be referred to as taking money away from the government, but rather, giving it back to the people who earned it.

So you admit being wrong about presenting a tax credit as a cost to taxpayers. I respect that.

Inconsistency never slowed you down before. I don't know why I expected it to be any different this time.

OMG. McCain just slammed Obama for missing a vote to condemn the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. There's only one minor problem with that: McCain himself missed the same vote! 😀

More trouble for McCain. It seems the folks in his own state like Obama better than they like him. I guess they would know best, right? 😀

Does anyone else find it disturbing that John McCain married his beer heiress wife, Cindy, within weeks of divorcing his first wife? Furthermore, he claimed in his memoirs that he had separated from his wife before dating Cindy, which is at odds with public record. In fact, he acquired a marriage license while he was still legally married to his first wife!
