No. The fixation on the personal lives of political candidates is getting old.

Hey, Republicans, this might just be your opening, if you're looking for a new nominee for your party: John McCain may not be eligible for the office of the presidency after all.

It's not too late to lose that millstone around your party's neck and find someone new. 😀

The Iraq war costs $140 billion per year. This is over a third of Obama's budget spent only on an item that provides nothing to the American people. McCain wants to leave it there, Obama wants to remove it. Who's more fiscally responsible?

The latter isn't an issue for me personally, but to be consistent, the folks who had issues with Bill Clinton's cheating should consider these issues about McCain. (Not saying I approve of cheating on a personal level, but it's not really something I'd judge a president based on; their job is to run the country. In any case, we don't know whether their spouse is in fact consenting to them having sex with someone else, in which case it wouldn't be cheating.)

Don't say that. I'd hate to see McCain replaced with someone even worse.

More pathetic John McCain news to report. (Big surprise, I know...)

In Pittsburgh he was asked what comes to mind when he thinks of Pittsburgh. He answered, "The Steelers," and went on to tell a moving story about his years as a P.O.W.:

"When I was first interrogated and really had to give some information because of the pressures, physical pressures on me, I named the starting lineup, defensive line of the Pittsburgh Steelers as my squadron mates."

Problem was, in the original story (which he wrote about in his book, and told countless times) it was the GREEN BAY PACKER'S starting defensive line he named.

Wow...... 😞

The Irag war beats them all, in terms of cost, seeing as the cost of an american life is, what, 6 million? Oh, and you'll be staying in there forever.

I don't think it's right for the US to stay in that arm pit of the world just to protect Japan's oil fields there.

1. McCain unambiguously called Social Security "an absolute disgrace."
2. McCain's top economic policy adviser ca ...[text shortened]... ls:

1. you didn't say why he said it was a disgrace. doesn't Congress rob Social Security for their pet projects? is that what he meant? do people get the money out of SS that they put into it, plus compound interest?

2. McCain disavowed his advisor, however, the advisor was partly right. he just had the wrong target. the media and the democrats are a bunch of whiners ... look at the HUGE NUMBER OF FAILING LOANS ("NOOOTTT"😉.

3. i've notice that whenever Yahoo News or it's suppliers say "Iraq calls for timetable" it's actually some Iraqi politician calling for it. you wouldn't say "the USA calls for" when actually it's some functionary calling for, would you? has anyone managed to make this the official policy of Iraq? until then ... zzz.
