announce, 'whites only,'' or ''colored,'' but, if you spent
any time in The Old South, as you say, then you know,
in any town, there a number of establishments where
a black person just cannot go into..........I, myself, got asked
to leave a Black 'after hours' juke joint..I was in Louisiana,
I was a stranger in town and the guy, when he asked me to leave, was very nice, he explained that he ''didn't want no trouble,''
and directed me to a white after-hours joint,
on the other side of town.....Ville Platt, La.(?)
This ain't ancient history probably about 20 yrs ago.
