I understand that the US military has these small DNA analyzers, currently they have one down to 200 lbs that they can have right there on site in a helo, connected wirelessly to database servers back in the States. I imagine they did test samples and concluded they got him based on that.

Nope they didn't.
Those other times they had "Intel" that he was at a certain location and they attacked and then they speculated he was among the victims and they were wrong.
