BTW, I never know what you libs mean when you throw the word racist around, and please dont be the one to explain it to me.
You and me both, Joe. So here is an open question and we'll see if Suzie or other libs can answer it:
If a predominantly white nation declares war on a predominantly black nation, is that racism?? 🙄
(Example: USA v Somalia)
@earl-of-trumps saidCertainly a great topic

@averagejoe1 saidRight. That sentiment heads back to the start of the thread. We agree that corps game the system. But the politicians who wrote the bill giving $32 billion to corps to continue to employ mostly illegal workers were conservatives. You seem to think that was in the past but farmers are still getting paid from those checks today. Why don't they receive blame in your school of thought? Their philosophy of giving away all the tax money to the corps via welfare so it would "trickle down" even though the corps employ millions of illegals?
Well, OK, I get your saying that. But you see, we speak from different schools of thought. My school is the corps gaming the system, seeing a hell of an opportunity to make a lot of money, for their shareholders. My school. Maybe the 'backs of others' as Suzianne often says. The school of capitalism.
With tendencies of socialism in your ostensible school, we are no ...[text shortened]... from the issue, didn't it. Thank god nobody got emotional, that would have been the next parlay!!!!
@wildgrass saidToo wide of a subject. And you love 'the past'. Tell us all what you think about the 7.1% DECLINE in personal income in February under Biden...... ONE MONTH!!,..... instead of writing about what you re writing about,,,,which is too broad. You libs think that there is only one way to look at things??? Yeah, right. Like , there are no other factors to consider. YOUr $32 billion comment.... a lot of legislators looked at a lot of extraneous factors, which we and Sonhouse are not privy too, and decided it was a good move. All of them. You suggest that they are all crooked?? Like I say, too wide a subject. Giving away all the tax money to corps (all)??? Too wide a subject, methinks you may omitting something. You know, we've paid money to farmers to not grow something. WHAT!?!?! And, If you tell that to a Martian tomorrow morning, he will say, 'that does not make any sense'. But it did, when they made sense of it., Libs are simply unfounded, I just hate it for y'all.

@Earl-of-Trumps
Ah, so you figure if it is *LAW* then WHATEVER it is, it is RIGHT and MORAL.
So tell us about how great the new voter repression laws are in Georgia?
All laws are the same, designed to HELP people?
@sonhouse saidSettle, Sonhouse. Since the dawn of man, elders get together and decide the best way to run a society,,,,not always perfect, but laws are about the only way to do it, don't you think? You got a better idea? Leaders getting together and saying "let's try to do it this way". Maybe you have a problem with first deciding who the 'leaders' are. Yeah, that's it. Sonhouse picks the leaders, and THEN the laws are made 🤔

@sonhouse said1. Not what I said, Sonhouse. A law should be obeyed, of course. If people don't like a law, CHANGE it, but don't ignore it.

2. I see it as voter bribery suppression. Nobody is being denied their right to vote here. Let's not be melodramatic.
3. sometimes laws or lack of same mean unfair advantage, too.
Anyway, I do have a hard time depriving people in line to vote of a drink of water. But depriving them of food is Ok by me
@averagejoe1 saidAll the leftists push for things to be *their* way. It's the totalitarian in them, right in their gene work.

righties push for freedom, and especially freedom from totalitarians.
@earl-of-trumps saidIf I put a statue of Robert E Lee in front of my hardware store, it is likely the leftist will pull it down. Can just ONE of you libs tell me that you have no right to pull down my statue? Do you think you HAVE a right? I think you do think you that have the right,,,,,so, can you tell us in plain english why you have a right to pull down my statue (trespass notwithstanding)???

@averagejoe1 saidJoe, when I grew up, we had this quaint "Country Store" in town, that basically served the rich.

You know, high prices on the Polo shirts etc etc. But they did have a tremendous penny candy counter lol.
Anyway, in front of the store they had a wooden Indian handing out cigars. Ya, a
cigar store Indian, as it was called, an iconic antique of a time long past.

Anyway, how many .seconds. do you think that statue would last?? lol

Several years ago, Republicans drafted a special corporate welfare bailout bill that currently provides billions of dollars in direct payments to the industry that employs more illegal workers than any other. And you're trying to blame the problem on liberals?
@wildgrass saidYou imply that the entire set of facts......, what happened and why, what were the benefits, what were the consequences, the reasons, who was affected, what the result of it was, how, and for how long, it was argued in Congress, what were the negotiating points, the lobbyist inputs, how did the Pros outweigh the cons, etc..............you imply that all of the above is enveloped in your 2nd paragraph above. And someone is supposed to responsd to that????? And with no reference to the voluminous factors (some of them) that I have highlighted above?????????

Careful, you are sounding like a liberal. Maybe Duches (sic) can weigh in on all that, maybe a few links. Me, I am going to sit down and get ready to go to the Masters!!! That is, if you fellers don't shut it down. Do you know that Colorado voting precincts are not open as long as Georgia Precincts? And that they require ID? Do you chew your pillow at night?

You started this thread and now you're trying to say it's TOO BIG AN ISSUE TO EVEN DISCUSS. It's complex, but certainly not the fault of one person or one party or one special interest or ideology as you wrote in the OP. Yes of course there are many factors going into the decision by the GOP congress to fund illegal immigrant labor through farm subsidies. I don't pretend to guess why they did it, except maybe to get votes from farmers in rural areas.
@sonhouse saidOf course, the GA laws designed to suppress CHEATING help Georgia and America maintain a democratic society.

All laws are the same, designed to HELP people?
That was easy.
@Earl-of-Trumps
Funny how that was never a problem before TRUMP decided it would be in his best political interest to claim massive voter fraud before there was even an election, he was saying that from day one of his campaign.
THAT is why we see literally hundreds of republican voter suppression bills running through republican states.
There was NEVER a problem voting before Trump.
But of course the bottom line is you are DEATHLY afraid of whites losing the majority vote in the US.
THAT is what is behind this whole push by repubs around the country.
