@techsouth saidYou must have played a lot of dodgeball as a kid. Obviously, you were totally evasive and nonresponsive to my question.
Your version of probable persecution...
I've given no odds. You're choice of words is your own misreading.
But I will say that the media is clearly not interested in objective reporting concerning politics these days. I am old enough and experienced to know that narratives can be spun that frame minor offenses with bureaucracy and miscommunications int ...[text shortened]... don't already hate Trump enough to satisfy you, I can always decide to hate him more in the future.
I suspect the investigation might eventually be more interested in what wasn't in his possession at the time of the serving of the search warrant i.e. what happened to the contents of 48 empty folders marked "CLASSIFIED". Do you think that might be a question the hated media might legitimately ask Trump?

@no1marauder saidYou are asking me to be certain about something where we have to filter the reporting though professional liars. What I do know is that Democrats lie, Republicans lie, and the media lies. I also know that Democrats don't always lie, Republicans don't always lie and the media doesn't always lie. And even knowing that does not give me some magic way to know the truth.

I'm not saying they're lying nor am I saying they're wrong. What I am saying is that I'm not certain.
I thought my previous post would reassure you. You don't have to worry. I can always elevate my hatred for Trump if at a later time that seems warranted.
As for as your question about empty folders. Here is something from the Washington Post.
“We cannot rule out that those empty folders contained classified documents that were not discovered in the search and seizure,” he said. “We just don’t know. That’s much harder to determine.”
If they are not certain what this means, neither am I.
Let me ask this. If we break down what is going on in Washington into 3 groups as follows:
A. What we are almost certain is true.
B. What we are almost certain is false.
C. What we have an opinion on but do not know for sure.
Is there anything that fits in category C for you when it comes to things about Trump?
Also, can you think of any case where Democrats or the press have lied about Trump to make him look worse?

@techsouth saidI'm not relying on anything politicians say for this information. I'm relying on the Court filings already made public (generally at Trump's insistence).

@techsouth saidWhy didn't he give the documents to authorities when they asked him?

@wildgrass saidAre you asking for an authoritative answer?
Why didn't he give the documents to authorities when they asked him?
I wasn't there nor was I involved in any interaction. I can only take educated guesses based on what I know about bureaucracy, media, and politics. If I began the task of brainstorming possible reasons, I'd come up with more than one possibility, but at the end of the day, I'd know nothing more than I currently know and have proved nothing.
Are you trying to imply that the lack of a provable "good" or "understandable" reason demonstrates the reason has to be nefarious?
Perhaps the real reason actually is nefarious, but I've seen how ugly politics can be and I've learned how dishonest the media is, so I consider that far from proven.
@techsouth saidAnyone who says "the media is", is a slave to Murdoch and Koch.
the media is
@shallow-blue saidI'm sure you believe the right leaning media is dishonest.
Anyone who says "the media is", is a slave to Murdoch and Koch.
Somehow I'm a slave if I believe the left AND right leaning media is rife with dishonesty.
Can you seriously not think of a single time the left leaning media has been dishonest? Seriously?
Do you consider yourself as a critical thinker at all?
@techsouth saidNo. No, I don't believe "media is". I'm not that stupid and one-dimensional.
I'm sure you believe media is
@shallow-blue saidYou must be fixated on some pedantic triviality that is eluding me.
No. No, I don't believe "media is". I'm not that stupid and one-dimensional.
Regardless, you seem to be engaged in a totally different point of contention than I.
@techsouth saidI think I can explain. The new generation of youths were raised as delicate individual snowflakes who have their version of truth instead of the actual truth. When "the media" says something they don't want to hear, they blame "the media" for their dishonesty instead of providing a rational counter argument. Media blaming allows these folks to continue on living in ignorance without ever engaging in an honest debate.
