well, but you have to admit that these articles are probably written by right-wingers who dislike mexicans or immigrants in general.
So they write these articles in order to raise tensions between Americans and the so-called ''aliens''.

how does the logic work? a bunch of imigrants invade a country then at a certain point they decide that they wont allow any more immigrants. its not based on density, the number of people per acre or anything logical is it?

all the non-native americans are actually either from europe or from africa, therefore they are technically immigrants

I will certainly read it although I figure lawyers are lawyers no matter what ... their principle motivation is not seeing fairness in achieved or the rights of their clients are protected .... its how much cash can they get out of it for themselves.

So we should really say 'wave 1' Americans, 'wave 2' Americans etc.
It wouldn't surprise me if some of the current 'illegal aliens' have ancestors who came from the area of the US before the US even got there. In fact those whose ancestors were part of 'wave 1' but spread into South America, most definitely have ancestors from North America.

In many other countries, xenophobia has little to do with legality.
I do think that every government should be tough on illegals. They should decide whether they want immigrants or not and if they do, make an appropriate process available. What actually happens seems to be a case of allow illegals in and keep them illegal so that they can be exploited.
