How many of you sincerely believe America FREED Iraq?
Do you seriously think America could not have gotten rid of Saddam Hussain without bombing the whole country to pulp through diplomatic means? if not, don't you think thats a bit lame for the world's only super power?
And most importantly, would you like being bombed to freedom like the Iraqi’s were?
Would you not stand to fight against an invasion force that tried to take over YOUR country in the name of FREEDOM?
Originally posted by TidesOfChangeMaybe the Iraqis should have stood up and fought against the rule of Saddam. Why did'nt they ?

Iraqis should thank the US for holding back Israel in 1991. How old are you ? Do you remember Saddam was firing Scud missiles at Israel? Why? Was Israel part of that war? It was because Bush (senior) asked Israel not to retaliate and provided them with patriot missiles. Had Israel retaliated the results would have been far more painful that what going on now.

I lived in Kuwait till 1991. Saw the "librations" and all that entailed. Saddam Hussain is a puppet. He was told to invade and he was told to fire scuds. For every one landed in Israel, the US gave $1Million in "compensation".
You know, it was pretty funny actually, as after the 3rd missile, everyone knew exactly when the next one will be fired. The Iraqi TV network used to play this one cheesy song, and later on in the evening the announcement comes declaring "another Jewish settlement got wiped off the map by the Ba'th Scud"
The matter of fact is, they only aimed at empty wastelands. Purposely. As they were told.
And talking of conspiracies, who do you think lit up the oil fields in Kuwait? Iraq I guess you'll say. Wrong. The US airships. My dad's mate used to work for the KOC, and he took us to one of plants. He told us this was hit by Air-to-Land missile. The Iraqi's during the war hid their planes in Iran (yeap, sounds dodgy after the 8 year war between them, but magically they did have that agreement). There was no way for Iraq to set fire to these oil rigs. It was the US. And do I hear you ask why would the US do that? I'll tell you anyway. So that they could land their construction companies in the heart of conflict and suck the millions out of the Kuwaiti government to put down the fires and re-build the damned place.
I actually witnessed one of the most fascinating scenes. Bear in mind I was only 13. The US construction workers would dig in two diagonal tunnels about 20 yards from the flame, digging downwards and towards the centre. Then they place some explosives and BOOM, the earth turns upside down on itself burying the fire and everything with it. Truly fascinating.
Its was all just a game.

As for diplomacy, you'd be surprised at what America can pull of if it wants to. What Peachy mentioned isn't a conspiracy theory mate, its history. And as for Iraq, the black gold is all the American Govt. needs and the American people cant rant all they want about Freedom and Liberation because we just hope no one is coming to liberate us.

Who is "They"?

You may disagree/agree all you like with another country but you cant just invade them and claim that you did them a favor. The Iraqis aren't thanking America and try an unbiased source for your news for once so you know how many people got killed just because of the American leadership.
By the way, I have nothing against the American people, except for the fact that they live in the most powerful country in the world and they naively elect idiots for President. I have family that live in the US and during the Iraq war one of them was visiting. She was shocked to see the media coverage of the war because according to her there was nothing in the media there to suggest the actual destruction in Iraq.
Judging from your previous comments, I don’t expect you to understand what its like to be a ‘subject’ of the experiment rather than the bystanders you are so used to being. Your comment on the bombing of Hiroshima says it all.

Provide some proof Peachy or this is just nonsensical propaganda.
And when we comply you ask for some other proof on some another matter... that or you go silent..
Here is some bed time reading for you;

"In March 1991, Congress provided Israel $650 million in emergency ESF grants to pay for damage and other costs from the Persian Gulf war."
http://www.ujc.org/content_display.html?ArticleID=70664
"A UN committee dealing with reparation claims against Iraq dating to the 1991 Gulf War approved more than $31 million to be paid to Israeli businesses and individuals. The 1999 decision stemmed from a 1992 Security Council decision calling on Iraq to compensate victims of the Gulf War (JTA, April 14, 1999). In 2001, the United Nations Compensation Commission awarded $74 million to Israel for the costs it incurred from Iraqi Scud missile attacks during the Gulf War. The Commission rejected most of the $1 billion that Israel had requested (JTA, June 21, 2001)."

"Israel will receive $74 million in compensation for costs incurred in Iraqi Scud missile attacks during the Gulf War, but a U.N. panel rejected most of a $1 billion military-related claim."
You tell me now smartypants, is this proof or is it just nonsensical propaganda..??!!! 😠
