Perhaps he’s thinking that the 3% of the defence budget that went to Ukraine is 3% well spent compared to the other 97% that is being spent.
Perhaps he’s not stupid enough to think that 3% would go on social projects and that if Putin gets to the Polish border or decides that his pals in the ‘freedom caucus’ wouldn’t think it was a U.S. problem if Putin invaded the Baltic states of NATO it will get a lot more expensive for the US.
Perhaps he believes that anyone who calls themselves a socialist is duty bound to stand up to Putin’s imperial designs

The only way win is WW3 and that is only if it does not result in a nuclear war.
Democrats are selling out the American people. Democrats only pretend to care about domestic spending. This war is meant to weaken Russia. It cannot be won without gambling nukes will not be used.
We should stop funding the Ukraine war so they are forced to reach a peace agreement. All They have to do is accept they lost territory to Russia and will never get it back. Here is your real choice: Stop giving our money away to death merchants or be prepared for a lot of Ukrainian dead bodies in the mine fields Russia put in. There is no way to get that territory back. Ukraine will run out of soldiers first. Then who is going to fight the war?

Russia doesn't want all of Ukraine, just what they have so far.
If Ukraine does not reach a peace agreement and give up the territory they lost who is going to send in troops when Ukraine runs out of them? They are mostly old men already. Guess what happened to the young and naive soldiers?
