Copy and paste anywhere anyone said the GOP wants to throw grandma off of a cliff.

Let the record show you can't.

I never said that the GOP wants to see people die, nor did I say Americans want to see people die.

I would, however, like to see a health care proposal from the GOP that would guarantee reasonable medical coverage to anyone and everyone who needs such.

I'd be fine with another model that isn't government-run (because the individual mandate falls into that myth of being a "government take-over" ). But I still want to see a proposal.

Well there ya go, it appears those darn right wingers have taken over ABC news. Who woulda thunk?
Copy and paste where anyone said ALL news was reliable except Fox. Let the record show you can't.

Also, your link didn't direct me to the actual story. Here it is.

http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=news/national_world&id=8162220

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (KABC) -- The American Civil Liberties Union is pushing for porn at a detention center in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

The move came after reports surfaced that the facility only allowed inmates to read the Bible. But prison officials said that isn't true and inmates have a wide variety of reading material at their disposal.

The ACLU said it wants prisoners to be able to read and view pornography. Lawyers for the jail said that just won't happen.

"If they don't like the wording in some of our policies, we'll be happy to try and create better wording for them. But, there are certain issues that we're just not going to be able to bend on," said Sandra J. Senn, an attorney for the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Berkeley County.

Officials believe porn will lead to more assaults and create a hostile environment.

A preliminary hearing on the matter is set to take place next month.

This is blog entry on go.com attached to a small local stationed owned by ABC. The writing is amateurish at best and no author's name is even attached.

Whodey, you're the most gullible person I've ever met.

I may not find that exact quote verbatim but they DO imply it very often.

Great. Saying Republican policies are detrimental to the elderly, or even saying Republican's don't give a tihs about the elderly is NOT the same as saying they want to push them off a cliff.

It's a metaphore for the effect Ryan's plan has on elderly citizens who depend on Medicare.

That's a far cry from saying Republicans want to kill old people.

So its a metaphor of Ryan murdering Senior American citizens. What do you consider elderly btw? because the plan affects no one portrayed in the "metaphor". Senior citizens will not be affected by the plan and the wheel chair bound woman was obviously supposed to be senior citizen.

"So its a metaphor of Ryan murdering Senior American citizens."

Sorry, but you don't get to just add words that are easier for you to refute. To "murder" is to intentionally kill somebody.

"because the plan affects no one portrayed in the "metaphor". Senior citizens will not be affected by the plan and the wheel chair bound woman was obviously supposed to be senior citizen."

Just because it doesn't go into affect for people who are senior citizens now doesn't mean it won't affect senior citizens. Unless you're claiming they've dramatically lowerd the age for Medicare?

Did I say -

A: Throwing someone off of a cliff is not murder.

or

B: Throwing someone off the cliff in that commercial was a metaphore.

I'll let others look at what I actually said and decide for themselves whether or not you're debating honestly.

Prostitution isn't illegal. Not in the normal, civilized world, anyways.

Edit: I will just say that I think the ad was sensationalist to the point that its intent was to be used as propaganda rather than as a "metaphor."

However, as USAP said, the element of truth that led to the idea behind the ad is very serious and should concern (future) senior citizens. "Voucher program" or "premium supplement" or whatever, the program dramatically redefines Medicare and will ultimately leave (future) senior citizens paying far more out-of-pocket.
